I would recommend you see your Doctor ASAP. You appear to have had a "closed Head Injury". The front of you head is where the frontal lobes of your brain are. The frontal lobes affect our personaility. Our ability to relate to others,
For example
·Problems of Starting--decrease in spontaneity and initiation, lack of motivation
·Difficulties in Making Mental or Behavioral Shifts- Individuals may be able to successfully verbalize solutions to problems, including plans necessary to meet goals successfully, yet be unable to put any plan into effective action.
·Difficulties with Attention--. As a result, they may demonstrate behaviors which seem irrelevant, even bizarre, to the observer. they may be highly distractible, they often seem to shift focus continually, never arriving at a point which seems purposeful.
·Problems in Stopping It may present as impulsivity or a quickness to anger, speaking too loudly, or carrying a joke or sexual innuendo too far.
·Problems with Social Awareness--, sometimes resulting in rude or insensitive behavior or with a general lack of apparent concern about social conventions.
·Deficient Self-Awareness--Defective self-criticism may be associated with a tendency to be self-satisfied, to experience little or no anxiety, and to fail to appreciate the existence and practical implications of deficits
People with frontal lobae injury may trouble getting started on routine tasks, preparing a simple meal, keeping appointments, managing finances, following a sequence of directions, and maintaining attention to tasks or situations which involve judgment, social reasoning, and inventive problem-solving.
They may engage in repeated activities which are seemingly irrelevant to the situation at hand, failing to notice their mistakes.
After a brain injury, some people even when sever, can return to almost there former self, once the swelling of the brain goes down..Please see your Doctor

Unbalanced chemistry. But this is not just for powerful drugs. Caffeine and nicotine also have an effect. Personality depends upon the activation of certain regions of the brain. Some drugs enhance activity of part previously unused, while some hinder the "normal" patterns. Alcohol will even kill brain cells. Drink enough alcohol over a long period and personality is sure to change. There is another issue that deals with how habits change the way that the brain functions. New habits effect different parts of the brain. Drug use often drastically changes some habits. These can include eating habits which will effect nutrition and sleeping habits which can effect overall health. These also have an effect on the personality.

If you received brain dmage brom the accident, then the answer is yes. The area of the frontal lobes of the brain (where you struck your head) is where much of our personality comes from. An injury to that area of the brain could cause a change in personality. However, you didn't mention brain damage or even a fractured skull. If it was just a strong whack on the head, you should be fine once the headache goes away.

Sounds like you've had what is called a "closed head injury".
Yes, any head injury can cause the mood swings and personality changes you describe.
I suggest you see a Dr. for your "head injury"
If it was at work you were injured, you might be wise to follow-up with a Workers Compensation Claim. Be sure to notify the employer in writing immediately, if you haven't already.
I, myself suffered a closed head injury on the job. It's been 6yrs. now, and I am still unable to hold a full-time job.

Did you recieve medical treatment? You say you have a scar, did you need sutures? Is your tetnus up to date? You should see a doctor. If you have a scar, I assume this happened about a week ago. You should not still have a headace from that injury.

It must have occurred to you to visit a doctor? I sure would if you suspect something as dramatic as a personality change.
But I would think something like that is pretty rare, but then what do I know, I'm wasting time on Yahoo Answers.
