People seem to forget that there are millions of people in the world that do not have a connection to modern society. There are literally millions of indigenous tribes and civilizations that still practice their tribal religions, many of which would include such sacrifices. There are so many other cultures and civilizations outside of our common knowledge that live in Africa, Oceania, Southeast Asia or even South America, most of whom live a life vastly incompatible with our own.

There are many religious ceremonies which involve the killing of an animal for the whole community to eat. It's part of the ceremony so could be construed as a live sacrifice.

Yes,islamic religion,the muslims offer live sacrifices such as goat,sheep,cows and camels in a yearly ritual.They slaughter the animals in the name of Allah,their God and distribute the meat to the poors.I tells you,this people is Evil. Evil, i tell you. Eeee....=mc2.

Yes. Only recently, when a plane stalled on a runway in Nepal, two goats were sacrificed to the Hindu god of winds. Afterwards, the plane departed and had a perfect flight.

and several Primative tribes around the world still preform live sacrifice. mostly in Africa, South America, etc.
