Applesauce 1/4 cup per Egg and if needed add a little more Oil.
Check the box and make sure it has baking powder in it or the cake won't rise like it would with the eggs. If it doesn't then just add a 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder when you make the cake.
For future reference here is a recipe and link to cake recipes that are Egg-Free. I have only tried this one and the depression cake so far and they are quite good.
Cocoa Cake
Dry ingredients:
3 c. flour (all purpose)
2 c. sugar (gran.)
1/2 c. sifted cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Wet ingredients:
2 c. water
3/4 c. cooking oil
2 Tbl. white vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla
Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix together.
Stir in the wet ingredients til moistened. You don't need to use a mixer for this can be done by hand.
Put into a 9x13 cake pan that is greased and floured.
Place into a 350* oven for @ 30 mins or til cake pulls from sides of pan.
Cool, and frost with your favorite frosting (very good with just plain ol' whip cream

No need to substitute!! Take that box of Betty Crocker Super Moist Chocolate cake and pour the dry mix into a bowl. Then take a small box of Cook and Serve Chocolate Pudding (cook according to the package directions). As soon as the pudding is done, immediately pour it into the bowl with the dry mix. Stir well. Pour into a sprayed cake pan and spread to make even. Sprinkle 1/2 c of mini-chocolate morsels over the unbaked cake and sprinkle 1/2 c of chopped nuts (I prefer pecans) over that. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. The chocolate chips will melt and make a nice icing on the cake and the cake will taste like a very moist brownie/chocolate cake.
You can do this with any other flavor of cake and pudding. No eggs, you don't add the water either. Just the milk in the pudding. I even like the coconut cream pudding in the chocolate cake. Imagine what the possibilities are for this!!! Everyone loves it! (It has to be cook and serve pudding - you can't use instant or it won't work)

I know this sounds nutso but it really works and nobody will know.
Empty the cake mix into a bowl. Don't add any of the other wet ingredients, but put in 1 can of diet cola, diet dr pepper or root beer instead. Stir until just mixed (you'll want to do this by hand...an electric mixture beats the bubbles out which is how it rises sans eggs). Bake as usual.
I used to make cake like this when I was on Weight Watchers and it really is tasty even though it sounds nuts.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aU7H2
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Put the eggs in the bowl first and beat them. Add a little extra oil and make the cake as directed. I do it all the time and it turns out fine.

The trick is to replace the fat in the egg. Try using a combination of egg substitute and a tablespoon of oil or shortening for each egg yolk.

If you use the Ener-G Egg replacer, you have to mix it BEFORE you put it in the batter. It's 1/2 tbsp of egg replacer to 2 tbsp water per egg.
You can also do flax seed "eggs" Three tablespoons ground flax seeds plus 1/2 cup of water equals about one egg.

Interesting...
" 1 banana = 1 egg in cakes"
Never tried it though. I have heard you can effectively sub applesauce for eggs in cake recipes, as well.
