They're both horrible. But I'd prefer athiest than satanist. I mean one your dealing with the devil, and the other you have no sense of spirituality. Athiest is somewhat of a safer ground.

You don't know what you are asking. Satan is quite real and does his best work against those who say he doesn't exist. In fact he prefers it that way. God says the fool has said in his heart there is no God. Either choice you lose. Doesn't help that your friends congratulate you. Like a lemming following others over a cliff, it is all good until the plunge. Read the book of John in the Bible: much better alternative.

LaVeyan satanists ARE atheists. They build their life around the symbol of what they perceive satan to be but believe that there is no higher authority than themselves. They're basically organized, hedonistic atheists.
For me, I'm happy being an plain old ordinary atheist.

if i had to choose, rather than saying :neither:
satanists knows there is a GOd, but lives life by denying and worshipping against Him...and atheists just don't believe any God exists at all.
i rather believe in nothing than defy God. that's my opinion. lol
