I never really noticed today that my cat's breath stinks. What can help that? Any type of treats or anything.

Smelly breath in an otherwise healthy cat is probably due to his teeth - bacteria builds up as the cat ages and can cause tooth decay. A vet can clean the cat's teeth.

A kitten doesn't have teeth and when they do they are new to eating and don't have AHHHH PLAQUE. Yes it's the same for cats as it is for humans. You can brush a cats teeth, but I think that would be very difficult. Most vets can give you good advice on that. It may be as simple as a treat, or as difficult as taking your cat to the vet to have them remove the plaque, either way I would get it done, CUZ it can cause tooth decay and evetually tooth loss. After that they can't eat well and it's off to the HAPPY MOUSE HUNTING GROUNDS. Sorry to be so blunt, but it's the truth.

You've got some good answers. There are dental kibbles that help. I find that price and brand mean very little - it's just a matter of finding a large-sized kibble that they will eat, one that requires a bit more chewing. I've had cats (I've had mostly ferals, foundlings & humane society cats) that needed a trip to the vet to get their teeth cleaned, but I've been lucky with the two I have at present. Friskies Dental diet works fine if you can get it - and it's inexpensive.
