im not saying i personally think he will win the cup i just think he's not gonna be as quite and in the background as so many seem to think!!!

It's good that Bowyer got the pole, this will give him some momentum going into the CHASE. Since he has no wins, only thing he can ride in high on are his consistent finishes, and this pole. I don't know if he will contend for the CUP or not, but his chances are good @ getting his first win. It's going to be tough to do from the pole, but those RCR cars have proved @ times to be the class of the field. What did they have all 3 in the top-4 @ Sonoma earlier this season? They've got a win out of Burton and Harvick this season, Bowyer has been consistent as hell... I'd say we will probably see him in Victory Lane before the end of the season.

My top 3 for this weekend...

Winner - Ryan Newman
2nd - Jeff Gordon
3rd - Clint Bowyer

If it were all about the pole, Ryan Newman would be a 3-time Cup champ by now, and Kasey Kahne's season would look a lot different, becasue he's qualified very well at times.
Gotta win the race.
That said, Bowyer is capable. Tried and true car guy. Just a good ol' boy, never meanin' no harm....uh oh, channeling Waylon Jennings here.
Maybe I sould switch to decaff.

From past experience dealing with a number of different drivers I have come to realize that poles really doesn't have much of an influence toward the winner of the race. Some cars don't qualify well but run well during the race. Some cars qualify well but doesn't run well during the race. Cars can handle different when in "traffic". If Bower's car does well in the race as well as he did in qualifying then it will definitely add a twist to the chase right from the start to win this first race. The best thing for a 10 race shootout is to be consistent and stay out of wrecks. Have to wait and see.

I like Clint Bowyer and was glad to see him get the pole today. He's worked hard and had the points he needed to get into the chase. I'm glad he's there and I think he'll be a good contender-he's got the total package needed. I hope he wins one real soon too!

large for Bowyer, and RCR. Having all 3 communities interior the Chase shows how properly they have been working. It became merely a remember of time in the previous he gained. He has been solid ever considering he began in Busch sequence. he's have been given a real shot on the Cup.

I've liked him since the start of the season. I would very much like to see him win the championship, being that he's the only one without a win at the start of the chase.
GO Bowyer!!!!!!!!

Big deal Bowyer took the pole. Ryan Newman usually qualifies better than Boyer and he isn't even in the chase.

Winning a pole is great. Winning a race is better.

I would like to see him win a race. It would be good for one of the longshots to beat the big boys for the championship.
