Ok well i started to eat better and excercise more because i am young and bigger well 5'6 5'7 and around 174 lbs. i am a young teen and since i am bigger i thought that when if i dont do anything now when i am older i will regret it. My biggest inspiration for this was Josh Peck( from nickeloden's drake and josh, and the amanda show). I started to admire him because he used to be very big and he lost all of weight. And he lost over 100 lbs and did over half of it without a trainer. He did it because he thought he would have a healthier life and be a better role model for kids. and he is a role model to me. So anyhow i do around 125/100 crunches a day and eat ALOT less junk and less food in general and ALOT more healthy things lik vegies and fruits. i do an aerobics like thing for a little bit. bassically doing excercises while listning to music. If i keep this up how long do you think it might take me to lose this weight? also what are other excercises that i can do in my room.pls help

It sounds like you're on the right track. It is hard to tell, because everyone's different. If I make a conservative guess and say you'll be 10 lbs lighter one moth later, whould you turn it down and say it's not good enough? Whole 10lbs lighter, for good! Just think - you will be 164 lbs. That would be safe healthy adult rate of weight loss. But because you're young teen it will probably be faster for you. Just keep up the good work. Think about it. 164 lbs one moth later, then 154 lbs another month later. New healthier you!

I have some experience in this area.....the stuff that works the best for me personally is weight-lifting with the combo of some exercise. It took me a long long time to find the right stuff until I actually started loosing weight and inches, so don't give up if it doesn't happen as fast as you'd like it to. Keep at it girl!!!! You could find something that weighs 10 pounds and do some arm curls. Don't forget to stretch out!! Keep track of your heart rate.....that is very important. You can't let your heart rate get too high or stay too low. There are some specific numbers where you'd like them to be for losing weight, according to your age. Try eating even less junk food than you do now. You're doing great......you're on your way! I'm not sure how long it will take....it depends on your body....how fast it loses it and how much you need to lose.

It could take years, but it can and will come off if you focus and do the right things.

Exercise is very important, but it can be as simple a walking a mile every day.

If you want to kick start things off and really burn off fat fast, there is only one answer and that is a low/no carb diet.

Two to three weeks on a full Atkins diet could drop you 20 to 30 lbs of fat. Then you can work back into adding some carbs but continue your exercise and heathly eating.

Kudos on you eating better and doing more exercise. Just don't overdo it and loose too much weight. For your height, you'd look pretty hot at about 150lbs. You have a large frame and trying to loose too much weight would be unhealthy.
