i just started high school and i eat breakfast around 5:50 in the morning (cereal, milk, and half a apple) then i go to school. I dont have lunch so i get real hungry during school.
i come home around 2:20 and eat. Not too much but not too little amount. I used to work out 3-4 times a week and run the rest of the days but then stopped for some time now. i noticed that i lost 3-5 pounds in a matter of 2 weeks while not working out. I was wondering if im losing my muscle i worked hard for before to get or am i losing fat?

You're probably losing fat now. Fat is the first to go. But if you get too skinny to easily you should watch out. You have too many hours between breakfast and lunch. First half of the day is when you need your nutrition the most. Any way you could bring a sandwich or some kind of healthy snack to school?

Until you run out of sugar and then fat energy your body will not consume muscle.

However, muscle loss will happen if they are not used, starts after about 48 hours. Since you are exercising daily that should not be a problem for you.

If you are trying to lose fat, go low carb along with your exercise. That will work far better, faster and you don't have to be hungry.

I think it takes 5 weeks for you to start losing muscle unless your starving yourself.
