Have you ever considered the possibility that your faith may be misplaced? Think about it: there are over 300 different religions in the world; each claiming it is the only true religion. How do you know that you picked the correct one? Is it not possible and, quite likely there isn’t a correct one?

If god is omnipotent he could make every religion right even if they contradict each other...
Still atheism makes much more sense: even i there is a god, he is more likely to send US atheists and agnostics to heaven for using the brain he gave us.

Um, it *is* global, and always has been. There have always been people who did not buy what the others were believing. But generally up until now people didn't dare open their mouth about it for fear of their own safety.
It's not like all the zany religions, where one person has this idea and manages to recruit others to believe it too. It's not like that...it's a whole different thing...a conclusion that many people come to on their own.

Atheism isn't right. Nor is religion. You can't have one without the other. Paradox's are awesome!
The right one is a combination of them all, which means, all the differences have to be examined and all the similarities are adopted.
Ever think of why "stealing" is wrong no matter what religion? How about murder (unless War, then it's ok to be a hypocrite). What about not raping people? Why are these wrong, faith NOT pending

You aren't paying attention, sir. Among developed nations, atheism is weakest in the USA. In several European countries, the number of atheists count for 50% of the population. But what interests me more, is what the heck is that on your cat's head? Please take it off, it is embarrashing him.

very... however because there isn't a right one for some doesn't mean it is wrong for others. In other words God can be worshiped in multiple ways. However saying there isn't a God simply because there are different ways of worshipping doesn't cut it.

Atheism is no god.
So they don't really care how many religions there are, they're all wrong.

It is global... There are atheists in every country. they may not be open about their atheism, but they're there, and atheism has always existed.
