I was perscribed an antibotic for a cough that is also a narcotic that I am taking as directed and responsibly. this cough med put me to sleep.. Here's the dream: I had a nightmare that my sister, died in some tragic way that was unknown. It seemed as though her huband, Les, found her lying on the couch or something, i don't really know. So, he e-mailed my mom and myself telling us that Sheri, my sister, had died. I had no clue what was going on but I did know that my sister had died. Can anyone PLEASE tell me what this means?? when you dream of a family member dying suddenly??? This has been racking my brain and I have no clue what it mean so I REALLY need to know.. I am so scared that something may happen to my sister!!!!! I need to know what I need to do!!!ASAP!!!
I love my sister very much and I am very close to her...I would never have thought of dreaming about her in that manner of her dying suddenly...

I have had many dreams like that. Its scary but has no meaning. The french people believe when you dream about somebody dying that it gives them an extra year to live. So dont worry

I just wanted to add to everyone's response to relax, and don't worry. I know how shaken up those types of dreams can make a person. I dreamt 11 years ago that my cousin had died and there was a funeral for her. It seemed so real that when I woke, I did not know if it had happened.
She's alive, well, and happily married now.
I dreamt that my father died and just recently my mother. Both are alive and well, though the dreams both upset me so much that I was unable to fall asleep.
It's just a dream, maybe related to something you watched, maybe due to the meds, either way it doesn't mean a thing. It happens to us all *hugs* Do your best to forget it and fill your mind with happy thoughts. Once you talk to her and hear her voice to know she's safe and sound, you'll feel a lot better, I'm sure.

Death in dreams does not always imply physical death, but death to a certain situation as an ending of something. Deaths also symbolize the opposite a birth. It does not mean your sister is gonna die now. Also, the narcotic can effect your state of mind and the dream in some way. I would not worry about it. There are people who have premonitions but they are different from a dream like you described.

Its okay huni. The meds probably triggered the dream. A death like that is a major fear to many people. Its a deep fear that most people dont think about very often. You may have thought/heard about something dying without really registering that you'd thought/heard it, and under the affects of the meds, put the two together, causing the dream... XD if any of that made sense...

It is just a dream. Probably from the cough medicin. Call up your sister to see if she is alright to make you comfortable. Tell her to watch where she goes and be careful because u want to live with her forever. It is very comforting. I once dreamt that ghosts where real for half a year. I was so disturbed. I had to close my eyes wherever it was dark because I was so horrified of seeing a ghost. Everytime I walk out of a room I would have somethings in my hand. I also imagined ghosts where infront of me. So I screamed so much. But when half of that year passed, I became from Paranoid, to pulling myself together.

aww, i know how you feel! I have had bad dreams before, dont worry there is a 1/1000000 chance ti will coem true. Did you hear soemthign on TV abotu a murder or soemthing. Even fi you didnt think about it much, it can still shwo up in your dreams. Dont worry too much, k?
Dotn listen to the peopel who told you all that premonition junk and stuff about dying in threes. Plenty of people have bad dreams like that and nothign happens.

When you have a dream in which a family member or a relative is dying or is dead that means that person in this case your sister is going to live longer so don't worry about it

It's ok, i've had dreams like yours before and they really scare me. Stop thinking about it by doing something fun..or if all else fails, go see your sister.

dreams have absolutly nothing to do with what happens. if you dream something and it really happens then it is just because the dream made you aware that that event could happen. i wouldnt worry. you have dreams all the time about nothing right?

It could mean that either she is pregnant or something good will happen. Dreams of death normally means the opposite.
