I'm not trying to propogate anything; I'm just interested in what people have researched or read about this particular question. It would be helpful to include sources, thanks

I'm very familiar with the Genesis account so I don't need to ask God, I believe he is the source of life, but my question to be more specific is for those that believe the big bang theory, where do those theorists believe life came from

No one is sure, exactly. No one was there at the time, for obvious reasons. There are a lot of good ideas, outlined in brief here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_of_life
However it happened, it is almost a guarantee that it is an extremely rare, low-probability kind of event, that needs certain types of conditions.

There are experiments in the topic of abiogenesis. I'm not sure but the theory is that a certain mixture of gases could, when charged electrically, lead to some kind of self-replicating amino acid or something like that.

Self-replication is, if anything is, the true definition of "life" in any case...

You need heat, organic materials, basic amino acid chains, and lots of time.

The conditions of early earth were suitable for such a development. Scientists have formed simple amino acids from subjecting a few elements to heat, and those are the building blocks of life.

Hello Christ say: Sun Wukong**, the monkey fiend king from the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit was born of a Stone Egg. You may learn the secrets of birth from stone, OR the transformations needed to achieve immortality, but not both. Choose NOW!

UGH, please do the bare minimum of research.

The Big Bang Theory has NOTHING to do with The Theory of Evolution or how life began on Earth.

They do both include the word 'Theory' perhaps thats whats tripping you up?

Chemistry is the answer. The interaction between atoms and molecules and energy, all following the physics of our universe.

It would seem that in our universe life is a natural occurring phenomenon. But as for intelligent life, there are only a few examples on this planet. They are known as atheists.

In the molecular world there is no difference between living and non living matter! Its just a question of chemistry, the right environment temperature and so forth!

Amino Acids are some of the building blocks of life. Are these chemicals alive? Not that I know of.

Lightning + the right combination of chemicals can produce amino acids. From there you can get living cells.

I'm not saying that's exactly how it happened. But that DOES happen so it's possible.

Matter is all made up of atomic and sub-atomic particles, so I would say Life is in all things no matter the appearence.
