No elevator will come if no one pushes a button.

The elevator that you are standing in front of will show up first, because that is which button you pushed (assuming that you pushed one).

Every elevator that I have seen has it's own button system, pushing one will call only that particular elevator. Then again, I'm a country boy and I don't get out much, so i may not have seen all types of elevators.

Good Luck

(and I hope that you weren't going for that "you push both buttons at the same time and the higher one comes first because it is dropping while the other one is being lifted.....", LOL)

I am assuming that YOU press a call button for yourself and you mean no one ELSE presses a button.

It depends on how the control logic is wired in the elevator control room. It may be either way. Without seeing the relay logic diagram for that particular elevator system it is impossible to tell.

If it were up to me to write the PLC code, I would probably send the 3rd floor down, based on the fact that the vast majority of people in the building will need to get to the 1st floor eventually, and the closer each car is to the 1st floor, the better the odds of supplying car-demand using less energy.

Probably neither. but I'm going to say the one on the third floor if it makes random stops because what goes up must come down.
