I really like a man who's about 15 years older than I am. (I'm in my mid-30s.) I'm afraid that flirting techniques that were successful with men around my age won't fly with this guy. He's highly successful and very smart (very nice too), but we're in a rather awkward work situation, and I don't think he'll make the first move. I'd like to let him know it's OK to make a move, but I don't want him to feel uncomfortable. I'm really at a loss as to how to go about this. :) Any tips? What should I do???

just talk to him --- be aware that if he is co worker it will basically be impossible to have any sort of relationship outside of work for so many reasons --- i suspect that is what he is thinking --- i know i would be ----- dont flirt as you get older flirting becomes passe --- engage his mind and he will know you are interested --- just be aware that while he may be interested he may also decline simply because you work together in whatever capacity --- best wishes

If by "awkward work situation" you mean that you report to him, do both of you a favor and leave him alone, unless you intend to find another job.
