I'm afraid I don't know how to make it less painful, but I would like to say that the person above me is wrong. Being married does not make it hurt any less the first time, or make it feel any better. Don't pay any attention to her; her point is completely irrelevant and invalid.

The only advise I can really give is to make sure you're well lubricated, try to relax as much as possible, and make him go slowly. If it hurts too much, then stop for a while. And, of course, remember to be safe. Use two forms of birth control at all times, and good luck.

There're several things to consider here..

First of all, I'm going to assume this is your first set of sexual experiences and that you're mature enough to be doing these type of things. One issue couples might have is lubrication. I *hope* you're using a condom and practising safe sex. Look for some condom safe lube containing a spermicide.

Perhaps allow him to "get to third base" and massage you a bit, this might help your body prepare natural lubrications and will maybe loosen you up.

Those're some practical ideas.. but keep in mind, if you have anxieties about having sex with this guy or in general, that might be one reason you are having issues. Try and relax and not let the anxiety get to you.

Usually if you're prepared mentally and emotionally, the physical part will work itself out. I promise.

i would suggest there are a few possibilities --- first one that comes to mind is that you are not taking the time to get in the correct mood --- its called foreplay and young guys are VERY bad at it mmmm actually a LOT of guys are very bad at it ---- take a lot more time --- second and maybe more worrying is that you have a medical problem that you will need to see a doctor about --- the third (as you did not give an age) is that you may not be physically mature enough in which case a few more years will be needed

It really just does take time and trying. Make sure you're turned on before you actually try to do it. He's got to warm up the over before he just tries to stick it in. If you're nervous and focusing on it, you're probably psyching yourself out and that can make you tense and tighter and drier. Maybe also try a little lube.
