regual milk makes my stomach hurt. I can only handel cheese and yogurt in small portions, so I cant eat enough of that to get all my calcium. I loved soy milk, but after drinking it for a week or so, I broke out with HORRIBLE acne. Are there any other substitutes to get my calcium in... Other than pills. I'm 19 and my family is always getting on to me about how im going to have bad bones when im older. I'm very healthy and im not overweight or too skinny, so Is it really that important to drink milk anyways? I also take a multivitamin that has 20% DV of calcium... I know that isnt 100%, but I just hate to take more pills.... so is there anything else i can do?

You could buy some viactiv calcium soft chews. I think they tastes fine. I've had the chocolate ones. Two chews contain all the calcium you need for the day.

It sounds like you are lactose intolerant. There are products like Lactaid that can help you enjoy dairy products more. I'm not sure why you are afraid to take calcium pills. Pills certainly aren't as good as getting it from dietary sources, but it's better than not getting it. The best is if you take calcium in combination with Vitamin D. There are pills that have this combination available. Some vegetables, such as broccoli, I believe, also contain calcium.

You might benefit from taking a nutrition class, talking with a doctor, or getting a consultation with a nutritionist.
