brothers and sisters, i am about to give up on ppl. i WANT to give up on ppl. i only want Allah. this is driving me crazy. how can i detach from this world? all i want is Allah, yet sometimes i act like i care abt my so-called "frnds" more than Him. wat do i do? every night i cry b/c i want to be closer to Allah, but it seems like he doesnt like want me. how can i forget my "frnds" and focus on Allah? plz tell me a solution. how do u get closer w/ Allah? i mean, i pray and stuff but i dont pray 5 times every single day. i dont reli read the Quran, just sometimes. and when i read it, i read it in english. arabic seems too hard for me. but guys i need ur help. how do i get closer? how do i get tht full satisfaction tht u guys have? plz help.

my other problem is tht lately, Allah swt has been making my life exellent. i mean, one day i ask for something and the other day i get it. before, when i used to ask for something, i rarely got it and i always sed to myself tht Allah swt is testing me. but now, im afraid. is He trying to pay off my good deeds here so on the Day He only has punishment for me? plz help.

will sister u can go on in ur life and still close to god , god doesn't want us to leave that world and focus only on the ebadah , but the meaning of khalifah in surah bakarah is to mke that world a better place to live for and to direct it to worship one god the creator and that would come by work and communication with ppl and that even mentioned in surah hujerat in the Quran.
(o mankind we have created u from a male and female &have made u into nations &tribes 4 u to know one another, truly ,the noblest of u with god is the most pious ,truly god all knowing all aware)quran 49:13
sister u shouls start with the 5 prayers , they are the 2nd after hajj in the basic pillers of muslim , how could u leave that?
and the Quran sister the words of god will take u to god.
we all sister try to get closer to god and we are trying till we die there isn't an end point and sister ramadan is a very good opportunty to that.

Well you seem like you are young and just have a busy lifestyle. It happens. I think you should try and pray whenever you get a chance and focus on praying and asking for forgiveness. Of course every where there is temptations and Allah is Forgiving so Allah inshallah will understand if at sometimes you can't become as close as you want to be. Inshallah try your best and the rest will follow. Ramadan Mubarak!

First off, i would like to praise you for praying 4 times a day. That is a very good start to becoming close to Allah.
My Solution : You are already on the right path, but you have have to increase your ibbadat. Ramadan is a great time to start. Attend Tarawih prayers, fast as much as possible,do dhikr, buy a Translation of the Quran ( I would suggest the translation by Muhammed Asad, it is one of the best), start taking lessons to read the Quran in Arabic ( I take lessons, and yeah, it looks really hard at first, but it gradually gets easier)
I would also suggest reading a biography of Prophet Muhammed ( i read the MOST AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING biography of Prophet Muhammed by Yahiya Emerick. It is a LIFE-CHANGING BOOK. BUY IT AT BARNES & NOBLE)
And sweetheart, not every muslim has full satisfaction. THIS IS OUR JIHAD. This is our struggle. We need to become Closer to Allah.
May Allah tala keep you on the straight path inshallah leading up to Paradise!!

i mean WOW.. you really really need to think that Allah swt is the one who brought you in this world..

you need to listen to Mullahs and read stories about how Allah swt is important and Muhammad s.a.w.
if you really trying to be truth and clean then Allah will accept it. but if you are unclean..just saying:OMG!!! i'm not a good muslim! that's not good.

there as a saying which called 7adeeth qudsi(allah spoken words ( i say the meaning not the exact words) who ever comes to me walking i go to him harwaleh(fast walk) who come to me a yard i go to him a mile .......
now for you drop hate from your life you will be closer ,love to others what you love for yourself,you will be closer,do work on your arm not to go to bads,your legs not to walk to them your eyes goes down not looking to awrat of the others
then you work on your heart
all the deen is about
1 3ibadat relation between the person and his god
2 arranging your relation with others, where you work you get closer to Allah
i cant tell about reading quran in english
but try to read it in arabic

but do not go on a large scale in arabic reading

I'm not a Muslim, nor religious, but, obviously, reading the Quran and praying 5 times a day would be a good start.

well first of all you seem to be a young age and Im assuming you have peer pressure.... let me first say that allah is always with us all! even when we dont think he is.....I can asssure you that you are close to him just by thinking of him and praying to him... nobody is perfect and god made us this way... and he wants us to enjoy our life the best we can.. that includes having friends but of course not bad ones! my advice to you is visit a mosque and talk to someone there or even call one im sure you can find a listing near your city.... remember god gave us our life and all this is around us... maybe you are trying too hard to find your inner faith.. its there... just relax and pray everyday especially before bedtime and ask allah to help you :) I will think of you in my prayers inshallah you will be fine... you just need some adult guidance in your life now good luck

no one has that full satisfaction, Muslims are always striving to come closer to God, remember All you have to do is to WANT to, Allah does not ask us to do anything special or to prove anything. He simply asks us to Believe, and to want to Be Close to Him. and once you do that inshallah the rest will come naturally...
