Less than 25% in each of the chambers. The veteran population in the House and Senate has been dropping since we began the all-volunteer force. Here are some of the more prominent members who are veterans that I can remember:
Senate:
John McCain (R) Arizona
John Warner (R) Virginia
Chuck Hagel (R) Nebraska
Lindsey Wagner (R) South Carolina
John Kerry (D) Massachusetts
House:
John Murtha (D) Pennsylvania
Pete Stark (D) California
There probably are others. I just can't pull up their names.
