generally, full show names start with the kennel he was was from, so start that, then ask his breeder what names have already been registered from his litter or from other litters, so that there are no repeats.

Is he a rescue? He should have already been registered as a puppy if he came from a breeder.

If he is showing in Obedience under an ILP number then you will have to make up a name.

It has to be completely unique or the AKC won't accept it.

Chasin a Dream o' Mine is an example of how you can incoroporate his call name.

Try not go the "Prince or Sir...." route it's over used for pets.

If you look at a show catalog you can get ideas for names. And what to avoid, so you don't copy a name and get it bounced back from the AKC.

It just has to be unique for his breed, it can be similar to another dog in a different breed.

Chase the wind is another example.

Good luck. The akc site has some name help and hints.

The "show" name is the registered name of your dog, the one that is on his registration paper. Chase is his call name.
