I actually liked the idea of 38 better...but its only a number it doesnt matter...its all about Dale Jr not about the car number.

Weren't you waving the #81 flag just a few days ago? What was that, disinformation?

88 . . . hmmm . . . isn't Gatorade a Pepsico product? It would be neat to see a "Darrell Waltrip Gatorade 88" nostalgia scheme. As a oneshot, I mean, not fulltime. Do it early in the season, so we can all watch the ol' goofball becoming a Human Mexican Jumping Bean out of sheer joy. He might even do the Ickey Shuffle.

It's a shame that there isn't any actual racing going on this time of year, so we have to fill our hours talking about trivia.

It's not going to help the Tattooed Jr fan if the style is different from the current eight

The style of the 88 will be slanted forward because Jr has the patent on that design.

I think I would rather see him in the 81. I still associate the 88 with D.J. But, whatever it is, I just wish they would announce it and get on with it.

Go Jr.>>>>

number 88 belongs to travis k. who driving the truck series, he is replacing ricky rudd in this number next yr. so I doubt it can be the 88... I would still rather wait till the offical announcement from HMS and Dale Jr on 9-19..

I can't see another team giving up their number just so Dale Jr. can have it. However, I have heard this rumor too.

I didn't know - is this a joke?

That would be cool. Dale Jr always had respect for Dale Jarrett. That would be an awesome number.
