The troop reduction is mostly for the Army that's over there from what I've read about it online. They are already on anwhere from a 16 to 22 month deployment. It's time to bring them home.

The first troops to leave as part of the reduction will be a regiment of Marines. Next will be an Army Combat Brigade in 2008.

Nothing is guarranteed until you are on the plane and leaving the international boundries of the US.

I have had friends that were told they were being deployed. Packed their bags, said their goodbyes to their families, gone to the airport and been turned around and told to go home.

Its a very slim chance this will happen, but it does.

Its not 100%, but I would say 98% that yes, he/she is coming here to Iraq.

I wouldn't think the deduction would apply to him. There's guys who have been there for a couple of tours. He'd probably replace someone else. It's not a guarantee to Iraq. I'm not sure what his orders are, but there's bases all over the world he could be going to.

No it is not we ought to continuously in no way have invaded Iraq interior the 1st place Our objective became into to locate Ossma Bin-weighted down .that's the guy who has admitted to being entirely in charge for the 9-11 attack on us. jointly as this is authentic that Saddam became into an evil guy or woman It wa the Iraqi people who ought to have dealt with him. we could have given them the flexibility to do only that without sending our troops there. All Bush has finished is made one hell of a large number over there jointly as he has left the actual guy or woman in charge for 9-11 pass unfastened WHY? I pretty doubt we can ever get the reply to that question from Mr. Bush! that's the actual insult to our troops and something of the individuals of this usa

Troop reduction usually means the Marines and soldiers who are there will come home, but the tour rotations will continue to take place. It may eventually slow down the time span inbetween tours of duty but, yea he's still going to go.

I would say yes he's going troop reductions usually mean the troops who are already in place and any reduction in total numbers is probably years away.

You and your friend are both luckless. The reductioon will consist of bringing more home (maybe), not reducing the number being deployed, if at all.

Not likely. They will send him and bring back guys who have been there a year or more.
