I can't stand it when people block the doorway having their discussions, so I just bowled over them as though they were pins. I did turn around to say, "Excuse me," but I thinks the damage was already done. They gave some pretty evil looks.

What else were you suppose to do. The doorway is the only means of entering one place to another so you had to go through. If anything, they were rude for blocking it. They should clearly see you coming and then make way for you to pass. Of course, you can say excuse me as well prior to passing, but who wants to do that! Like they say, Don't sing it, bring it! lol

Yeah I think that is pretty rude. Even though you don't like people to block the doorway, you should have not stooped to being rude yourself. You should have just said "Excuse me, I need to get through the door". I don't think running into them proved anything to them.

You're lucky you didn't get your *** kicked! I understand your frustration with people who do inconsiderate stuff. I, personally, have come to believe that most people in the world have absolutely no home training, forget about class. And what you did was unclassy. True they started it, but you have to maintain your cool at all times. Main thing, in these situations is, don't panic. I hate to excuse myself, when I shouldn't have to. So, I understand. But, you cannot use physical force to express your displeasure at some ignorant folk's behavior. You would have been better off just saying, "Excuse me, but would you mind not blocking the doorway." If you were nice enough, you'd make them feel like ****. Then you would have conquered ignorance, if only for two ignoramuses, in one day! I hope this wasn't at work but, if so, you are going to have to dust off your charm and pretend you were having a moment due to the fact you had not had your medication. LOL! You're okay. Just learn that you can attract more bugs with honey than with vinegar.

I agree with you. People at my work do the same thing. I just approach and point to a nearby empty room (or space) and say "Perhaps you all feel more comfortable talking there". They get the point but do that again and again. That's why we have the saying "Sh*i*t happens!" Of all the spaces, they MUST pick the doorway for their chit chat.

Lmao! Heee-hawww...Your a funny bebe. Oh well-I agree with you, it's totally annoying when people stand by the doorway talking about there things in public. I personally have "bowled over" these little preppy girls during they're discussions on whether Hollister is better than Pac Sun. Hollister-duh! ;(

It is rude in general when people have conversations in places that block people (elevators, next to stairs). It was rude for them to block the hallway, but it is also rude of you to bowl them over. Granted, they were committing the rude act first, however, you shouldn't drop down to their level to prove a point.

Next time try saying "Excuse me" before you bowl anyone over. Most people will gladly move aside if you are polite. I'd have given you the evil eye, ha, ha.

Yes, I have noticed recently people stopping to talk in the oddest places, doorways, while they are working cash registers...so on. It is really annoying, and rude.

I have the same problem, I work at the front desk and I think it is so rude when people come out of meetings and continue to talk right in front of my desk, when the door is 2 feet away and they can just step outside.
