...but then give the Best Answer to other ex- and anti-witnesses?

carlpartis, of course I gave Best Answers to JW's because they had the best Answer, not because they were JW's. For instance, JW's know more about the trinity than trinitarians, and can prove it's a false doctrine.

exjw144001, you block JW's so they can't answer your questions. You are a coward.

Greg M, I'm not on this forum to get Best Answers. I couldn't care less about the Best Answers I got from you and Unsilenced Lamb, which were given for the wrong motive. The two of you live at anti-witness websites and attack us with old and misleading information. You don't care what religion we are a part of just as long as it's not Jehovah's Witnesses. That is reflected in your questions and in your choices of Best Answers.

Perhaps a better question would be why do we keep answering them? We know who they are and that their questions are not sincere, so why bother?
They are like the Pharisees who questioned Jesus, not because they wanted to know or understand the truth, but to attempt to entrap him.(Matthew 22:15, Luke 20:20, 11:53-54)We should use the discernment that Jesus Christ used to "detect their cunning." Questions like this do not deserve our consideration. (Luke 20:67-68)

This "question" seems more like a thinly veiled excuse for a rant against ex JWs and non JWs. Look at some of the insults on here. I direct my questions to whoever I deem relevant to answer. If I want a response from JWs, I'll direct it to them. If I want the opinions of ex JWs, then I'll direct it to them. Check my Q/A history. As for choosing BA, everyone is allowed to choose the answer they most concur/agree with/relate to. I'm sure you'll choose an answer on here from a JW, no doubt calling ex JWs names such as a "satan worshipper" or an "apostate". By the way, to Wendi, I'm not "filled with hate." Posting my opinions and my bad experiences about the religion does not automatically make me an apostate or a hateful person, I'm afraid.

If I am to be honest, yes, everyone wants to pick a question that verifies their beliefs. But obviously, anti-anyone would think the best answer is one they believe to be true.

One problem with Jehovah's Witnesses answers is that they are so mean and cut and pasted from the watchtower site. I like honest answers from the heart not watchtower propaganda churned out insipidly. If a JW answers my questions kindly and honestly, then I will give them best answer. But if they are rude and condescending then I won't.

Answers like Foxtrot, accusing ex-JW's of being hopeless sinners is closed minded and ignorant. You guys go through and give each other thumbs up and oposer thumbs down no matter what the answer is. This is the same behavior you accuse us of having. This is too common a comment made by many yahoo Witnesses. You treat ex and anti witnesses like scum. I am against the Watchtower organization, not each individual witness.

It's all about giving the most honest and intelligent answer I say whoever gives it gets it.

It's simple .. and I've said this in the past

We ( speaking for other and I hope I do not offend ) have seen to many individuals throw there life away to a promise of a "new system" and we hope and pray that those who have been indoctrinated in the JW will see some glaring inconsistencies and take heed of some of their own doctrines "Beware false profits whose prophecies will be shown false"

The Watchtower and tract society has continued to contradict itself over the last 100 years and when challenged JW all recite the " when we discover something is wrong we change it" which itself is admirable however that precludes the ability to claim "what we say is the Truth"

It is the overwhelming evidence to the contrary of their teachings and the control they hold on their followers that we causes us to fear not for your souls ( because I do believe that you are being deceived thus you will be welcomed into heaven ) but for your mortal lives, and for those of your children that we grieve.

RUTH: very good point .. and something for as all to concider

The Jehovah Witnesses are very misleading. Because they see Jesus Christ as a mere man, a prophet, and they don't believe he rose in body, and they do not take the communion. Jesus commanded this to be done until he returns, so they are in disobedience. And can lie like a rug. They don't know anything about the true Living God, and their thought up god, which they change their doctrine constantly.

Because they aren't looking for the answer to their question. They have already made up their mind that any Witness will be wrong, no matter how they answer.

Also, these people probably want to see if a Witness will answer in a way that violates Yahoo! Answers community guidelines. Then they can report the person and maybe get them kicked off of here.

That might happen to some because of carelessness, being too eager to share what they believe so that they unintentionally commit a violation. But most of us take great care to answer in an acceptable way and have carefully read and understand the community guidelines.

Kind of like the Shiite have for the Sunni. We hate you we don't really know why but we are sure we have a good reason that God loves us and hates you'all.
Maybe it is the trinity, we believe God is 3 people. Or maybe the fact we think you are all going to hell. We want to see you tortured forever so maybe God does also.

Now does that up there sound like good reasoning to you?
Or does it sound like the reasoning of a religious extremists?
What is your next step after this? strapping on a bomb and blowing up all religions who do not agree with your philosphy?
How long will you be contented to just discredit them in writing?

We raise issues that the WBTS has taught you to ignore, like the obviousness of God's triune nature. You have believed their lies and we are earnestly trying to get you to see that.

As for best answer, it goes to the one who gave the best answer to the question. For example, if I prove to JWs (as I have in past questions) that the earliest Christians (late 1st century/early 2nd century) referred to Jesus as God (not "god"), and you tell me that's wrong in the face of the evidence (I will always give a link to the document), but an ex-JW confirms what I've said, how can I choose your answer as best if it clearly is not?

The point is to TEACH you, and not to condone the unscriptural teachings of the WBTS.

To dissuade the seeker's who want knowledge of the Bible and to confused the "newcomer's" of Jehovahs Witnesses. God knows what's in the heart of each individual, and if He sees the heart is "good" there will be no one or no force that can stop that person from going to God. For if God be for you, then no one can be against you. I really like that scripture. It's all in the heart and how much faith the person has to put ALL their trust in God, Son, & Holy Spirit.
Like the other answerer said, it's a point game and to me that is childish. Who cares about the points.
I also want to add that it is sad and why at times I think they are just kids pretending to be adults is because of their attitude. It sounds and looks like a rebellious spoiled child that can't get their way. No wonder God said "Do not spare the rod (discipline)."
Keep on keeping on!

BabyDoll, "entrap" & "cunning", when taking Bible Studies does one learn how to use more suitable words like you do? My choice of words are not so nice, I am probably to blunt and so come off being rude. Yours sound more eloquent than mine. I need to work on it!

That's because they are trying to cause divisions in the organization, especially with new ones.

BABYDOLL....sister, your words are always "seasoned with salt." You have a kind and mild spirit.
I still have a lot of work to do on that. *smiles*

I think you have a valid point, but I also agree with Babydoll. Why waste our time endeavoring to 'reason with those whose hearts are proudly fixed in unbelief ? This is fruitless. More than that, if we immerse ourselves in debating every false accuser who attacks us, we could become sidetracked from a far more important and rewarding activity—that of helping honesthearted ones who really want to learn Bible truth.' (Romans 16:17,18)

And remember, just because the "Best Answer" is false, doesn't mean that honesthearted ones haven't been able to sift through the "trash" and find the truth.
