only if it happens on a regular basis. I have bad days too, as do most of us, and I am sometimes less than social, buI I do try my best not to be rude even if I want to be left alone.

Yeah, that sucks. If I know the problem can't be helped by me, I just try to avoid them the rest of the day. Being rude back doesn't help either of us. If it's a really good friend, or if I think I can help, I'll try to talk to them about it.

Yeah one of the easiest emotions to have is anger. And we often lash out at others when they have nothing to do with it. It's annoying, but I've been guilty of it too. The best thing someone can say to me when I'm doing it is "hey, I know you're upset, but I haven't done anything to you, so please stop attacking me." And then I smarten up. So trying saying that to the person.

Smile and say "I hope the rest of your day is better." You might actually make it happen, and prevent the next person coming in contact with the grump from suffering the same experience you went through.

Yeah. I'm usually rude right back to them though.

Hang in there...it only gets worse.
They are having a melodrama meltdown & they want to inflict as much pain as they can, ignore them, it's more fun.

Yes, this definately sucks.
If this happens, you should just be rude right back, I'm sure their day won't get any better.

Just say, " I'm sorry I disturbed you when you're having such a bad day." That's all. Then just go about your business and ignore them.

Maybe them being able to bring you down is the whole reason they were rude to you.
