does anyones know how to make something black and white??

For the best results, use the Channel Mixer. This will give you the best tonality in a black and white conversion.

Black and white photos typically look better with higher contrast than color photos. Use the Curves tool to tune the contrast to your liking.

Lots of ways to do this, including changing the mode as suggested, except it is on the Image menu not Edit. (CS2, CS3)

You can also Desaturate your image. Ctrl + Shft + U
(or from the menu: Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate). If you use this method you can still add color, such as sepia toning which you can not do if you change to Grayscale mode.

My personal preference is to use a channel mixer adjustment layer.

go on edit and change ur file into grey scale mode
