hi, lisa....as you can see by my pic I have a similar problem....all my life I wanted to by light blond, but I never got it just right....then I finally went to a beauty saloon and spend 100 dollars on me......well, its just so much work....first they had to use basic-white, so make my hair like white....I looked like a dead chicken......then the put the color back in....like light blond.....champagne tone etc....anything I liked, but after a while it got on my nerves....its very difficult to work with red hair.....you cant get the red pigment out....

then one day, I overheard a girl who wanted the the same color as my natural hair....that did it for me....no more....I leave just that way now....and I'm finally happy with it....!!

I've got strawberry blonde hair too. People always drive me insane asking if it's real. I think red hair is pretty and I love it but after being stuck with it my whole life I'm ready for something new! I'm dying my hair brown tomorrow afternoon. I say if you want to dye your hair dye it. Forget if the color you want to dye it is common or not, to you red is common! Go to a salon and get it done, that way you'll know it's getting done right and you won't have to worry about it coming out some horrible mix of colors.
Haha.
Good Luck Girl.

Red is such a unique hair color, I suggest keeping it. Besides, natural blonde hair is uncommon too so it will be totally obvious that you dyed it. But if you must, I suggest going to a salon and getting it done professionally or at least some advice from the total experts. Red hair is a tough one to dye!

I basically had to get mine bleached and the stylest had to keep the bleach dye in my hair an extra 15 minutes to get it to take. It's very hard to get dye to take on red hair. I see a lot of people saying, "Don't dye it, red hair is beautiful!", I heard the same thing, but if it's something you really want to do, I say go for it, I did and afterwords everyone said how great it looked.
