The trinity includes the following definite ideas:
1. There are said to be three divine persons—the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit—in the Godhead.
2. Each of these separate persons is said to be eternal, none coming before or after the other in time.
3. Each is said to be almighty, with none greater or lesser than the other.
4. Each is said to be omniscient, knowing all things.
5. Each is said to be true God.
6. However, it is said that there are not three Gods but only one God.
Can you find any scripture that says that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God?
Can you find any scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom?
Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

there's an prolonged historic past in Christianity - extremely in jap Catholicism - venerating the sacred female interior the guy of the Virgin Mary, and interior the personification of information interior the style of Sophia. Neither of those are coated as participants of the Trinity. even nevertheless, specific Gnostic Christian sects do evaluate the Trinity to be an definitely kinfolk unit - God the daddy, God the Son, and God the mummy. In maximum of those circumstances, the guy of Sophia (no longer Mary) has been blended with the Holy Ghost right into a single mom goddess parent.

First, the word "God" is a plural noun-which leaves the door open for Christians to believe in the Trinity.
Now consider Genesis 1:26, "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness." From the beginning, God was telling His people about His triune nature. "The New is in the Old concealed; the Old is in the New revealed." In the New Testament, we learn about the other members of the Trinity, of whom hints were given from the very beginning. We try to explain this to the kids like this: think of God as water; it, like Him, has three natures. Liquid (God, who can spread everywhere), ice (Jesus-my 9 year old pointed out that the ice floats just like Jesus did-well He walked!), and gas (Holy Spirit). Much, much, much too simple, but it works.
I personally think it's awesome that God has this triune nature. Otherwise, if He had been totally alone for eternity, how would He be able to teach us of love and kindness, mercy and grace, with any true authority. Other than the fact that He IS God!!

True Christians adhere to the truth of Jesus' words
and his heavenly Father & God, YHWH.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not. We are Christians, but believe Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are 3 separate beings.

I was a Deist and after the American Revolution I joined the French Revolution where I refused to serve Napoleon. But during the F.Revolution I helped the executions of thousands of French aristocrats...look it up.
I ended up back in America a pauper, bankrupt and bitter and had to beg Washington for my supper....look it up.
(Anybody can be quoted out of context, as I have been above)

Absolutely, becuase The Holy Trinity is the cornerstone, the foundation, of the true Christian faith since the time of the apostles.
Our earthly, imperfect families are created in the image and likeness of the true and perfect family: The Holy Trinity (God). God bless!

To be a Christian, one must believe in the Trinity. That means that God the father, God the son( Jesus) and the Holy Spirit are one God.This tends to be a confusing teaching/belief to non-Christians .
