He wrote me a note asking if i could go somewhere to eat with him, and im not interested, how do i tell him that i cant go, and that im not interested in a nice way?

Just tell him, "Thank you for asking, but I am really not interested." Or you could say "I am not ready to start dating", Make it seem like you just got out of a bad relationship.

If he is a stranger just make an excuse. If it is a friend it's best to tell him you are not interested so he doesn't keep his hopes up (or his efforts at a fake friendship bc he only is due to liking you).

TEll him "I'm flattered that you like me, but I'm not interested. Maybe some other time?" I think that's the best way, for me.

send him a note back...he didn't have the guts to ask you out face to face so you can totally turn him down with a nice note back.

Be honest, but gentle. Say something like, "I'm flattered you want to take me out to eat, but I don't think it's such a good idea at this time."

whatever you do dont tell him that you just want to be friends i found out guys hate it when a girl says that! just tell him that you dont want to go or if you do just tell him as friends nothing more!

If you don't like him, be honest. I know its hard to be mean to someone, but its harder for them if they have false hope. Tell him you like him as a friend, nothing more. If all else fails, tell him your gay!! LOL

break it esily to him say "oh erm (enter his name) i don't really know how to say this but erm your not my type im sorry but i prefer(then describe the guy you like).it may feel hard but its better than leaving him hanging
