will not make a difference, I suggest USPS, once it hits the drop location for the APO it all takes the same exact time.

Military apo addresses are considered to be in the USA as far as postage is concerned. But all APO addresses must be accompanied by the customs form. The post office that I use gave me several of the flat rate priority boxes and customs forms so I could have them filled out before I got to the post office. There are two sizes of flat rate boxes but I have found that the longer box will contain more items than the more square shaped box. Weight is not a concern so pack them as full as you can. The postage for the flat rate boxes is $8.10 no matter how heavy the box. I asked if I needed to use extra tape to seal the boxes and I was told that all apo mail was put in special bags and there would not be a lot of pressure on the mail because they were all going the same place and were somewhat protected.

I've found the USPS is the best way -well, almost the only way, lol.
The Post Office provides standard rate shipping boxes, which is the best way to go if you are sending anything with weight. I've made a $23 dollar mistake by shipping a package in my own box, when it would have only cost $9 with a standard rate box.
Hope this helps,
Good luck

USPS, and send them via Priority.
Depending on where the APO address is located, the other carriers UPS/FedEx might not be able to send them there, plus it's much more expensive. Packages sent to APO addresses via USPS can travel on military transport to their destination.
I used to send things ('carepackages') to my husband all the time that way.

for an APO address I would suggest that you use the normal postal service, not only is it much much cheaper [you only pay for the service of it being sent to the New York drop point for the APO] but they are pretty much the only ones IMO that can do it right.
You just fill the box seal it and go along to the post office and have it weighed, then off it goes.
send packages to my son all the time.

The US Postal Service. Make sure to fill out their form about what is inside the package.
That always ruined Christmas for me, know what was inside the box before I could even open it. It was interesting too when I was the mail clerk.
I once ordered a RC car, extra batteries, charger, controller, and spare parts from a company in the US while I was in Germany. They didn't label what was inside. I guess when it went trough the x-rays, all that electronic goods and wires caught their attention. They opened every box to examine the content and were not too careful putting it back in the boxes.

UPS and FEDEX can't ship to APO/FPO addresses. You have to use the USPS regular mail service.

I do it all the time as an Ebay seller.
Use USPS and fill out a customs form. They tract your package the best.

USPS
APO and FPO addresses are about the same as using a zip code.

your ONLY recourse is USPS. regular domestic postage applies, although you do have to fill out a customs form.
