She told me that the steering or the car swerves to the RIGHT. She was right. 2 days of owning/driving this van I I noticed that It swerves to both left and right.

Brought it to a dealership and had the ALIGNMENT done. They said the Alignment is prefect and that the tires are wearing off evenly (all 4)!

When I drove it back home - it still swerve to the right and left. But I guess more obvious to the Right.

Well. I had the tires switched again and the problem seem to stay.

They said it needs new tires but ALL tires are like 5/32.

I'm tired of all this. DOes anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it?

It pulls to either side even when I'm not turning. This is very profound on local roads (not highway). Also, when I stay very near the lane of oncoming traffic (again local) It seemed to be oulling to the LEFT.

I tested the BREAKS on incline (going down and up),And on High and Low speeds - it stays straight and don't pull at all.

It does sometimes vibrate a little when breaking maybe on rough and uneven pavemennt.

I own two Previas- a 1992 and a 1994. I've had a similar problem in the past. My 1992 swayed to the right because it needed an alignment supposedly. it ended up needing a new rack and pinion. It also need to have the tires balanced. Your van is the All Trac. Hopefully the previous owner replaced all four tires at the same time or that could be your problem. Here's a website you should ask this question on:

Register there and ask this question in the Previa Forums section. This is a rapidly growing community of Previa Owners that will answer any question that you have. There are Do It Yourselfers who can tell you every little thing about your Previa. By the way, the All Tracs are awesome!!!

Take it to another shop. In over 30 years of auto repair, finding a GOOD alignment shop is not easy. Most shops, including the dealer, don't do it right. Ask around, someone in your area will be able to find your problem. The dealer is not the last answer. Take the mechanic on a test drive with you, let him or her see/ feel whats going on. Some independent shop out there wants your business and will accommodate you and solve your problem.

I recommend getting the rack and pinion checked out.

Does it only "swerve" when you are changing lanes or does is seem to "pull" all the time.

If it only "swerves" when you are making a lane change, your rack and pinon is worn out and needs to be replaced.

Ok, does it do it more frequently right after you've stepped on the brakes? Do you feel this on the highway? If it does it more frequently after a stop, you could have a sticking brake caliper on the left side.
