Yes, I'm all braced for the "you follow Satan and not Jesus" answers, along with the "you follow imaginary beings" answers.

I just hope someone actually answers this the way I want it to be answered. x_x;

It tells me you're about to be in deep do-do with the Asatru. They tend not to like Loki and the Vanir.

Well I know you are a pagan. You follow the Norse religion. I don't know if you are an Asatru or Odinist but considering that your main deity is Loki, I wouldn't think so.

I often find people who have other gods as their patron/matron have a better outlook on life. And they usually nicer and tend not to shove their religion down everyone's throat.

I didn't realize (after 20 minutes of researching) that Danu was a mother goddess. I tend to follow the mother goddesses more than the male aspect of any religion.

why ask a question if you just want an answer that will make you feel vindicated and ignore everyone elses. I am a Christian, I hope you are not following satan, he only means destrution an death. The Bible says about satan, he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him, the bible says he is a liar and the father of it, John 8:44, you don't need a patron and a matron, you need a Saviour, and his name is Jesus. He died on a cross for you, shed his blood to wash away all our sins, remember the movie Passion of the Christ, a roman crucifixtion was a terrible death, Christ did that for you, he wants you to become a child of his, its not hard, you can do it right now if you believe, if you feel the Holy Spirit touching, tugging and pulling at your heart right now just say this simple prayer and you can be saved, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. I hope you have made the decision to follow Christ, it is the most important decision you will ever make, it is a matter of life and death, if you prayed that prayer, May God Bless You without measure, because you have been obediant to his words in the Holy Bible. If you have any questions please send me an email.

Pagan .. Asatru or some other norse belief ?

it also tells me that you look to them with the same respect as a parent or guide rather than Gods
so you tend not to worship but show admiration

eek hang on Danu is celt ?

Your a syncretist that mixes and matches pantheons, which isn't much of a surprise, for many Neo-Pagans do the same thing. However you should realize that when you favor a god and a goddess from two pantheons it's an open invitation for their relatives to show up and meddle with your life...

The Gaelic and the Norse worlds meet at Dublin, the first Norse city in Ireland, which was retaken by King Brian Boru. They also meet at Orkney island, when the Highland clans allied with and pledged their fealty to the Nose Duke of Orkney rather than the lowland Kings and Queens of Scotland.

Loki is the foster son of Odin, who may have been the offspring of Surt[ur]. He's dark trickster, and his cleverness was an asset to Odin. "He" has both male and female aspects, and his female aspect gave birth to Hel, Fenrir, and others. One of ths tricks went too far and he caused the "death" of Baldur, who must live in Hel's realm until he is redeemed. He was imprisoned and tortured by Bush, er Odin, and his only ally is his wife. There's a movement that would have Odin forgive him to delay Ragnorak...

Danu is the primal Mother Goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danaan, the Sidhe of Ireland. it may mean that you have allied, with or consider yourself to be fae.

The aryan tribes moved south to conquer India are distantly related to the tribes that went west to Switzerland, Gaul, Ireland, Britain and Wales, it shouldn't be surprising that their pantheons are similar.

What does it tell me? That you know more about world mythology then most people. But I seriously doubt that you really do think Loki is your father and Danu is your mother so your safe from the "you follow Satan and not Jesus" comments. Atleast from me your safe.

Hmm
Well, I know those who don't feel Loki is a god at all, but sort of a "friend" to the gods. I would qoute something but I am way to tired to look that up. It's in the edda's. I see both sides of the arguement. He likes to stir up trouble, but hey, so does Freya and she's pretty bad ***.
Danu is Irish I believe? We heathens tend to believe in not mixing pantheons, but to each thier own.
Loki isn't "evil". He's....well he's Loki. It's too complecated to get into with no sleep. It's not that we don't like Loki. We appreciate his place in the Gods and his role. Like I said...it's complicated.

It tells me you are not a mainstream religion kind of person. I suspect you are a pagan. With a patron who likes mischief, and your strength comes from water, one of the basic elements. If you do what you will and harm no one I see no reason for anyone to object, except those who are not secure in their faith.
Blessed Be

Loki is a Norse god, I don't know who Danu is. Now if I think what you are trying to say is that you are a godling (half god) then you can call yourself anything you want. I don't have to agree with you or not.
