Your logic is faulty -- but your chest is incredible! ;) Man, how much do you bench?
Why would you think men of God don't need education? Is God so magical that He can zap knowledge and wisdom into the head of any man who gets up in front of the baptist church and says, "I have a calling."?
This is the main problem with lots of protestant, especially evangelical and fundamentalist denominations. They let any yahoo with a penis get up and spout their opinions as if they were God's Holy truth.
At least in the Roman Catholic church, they make sure their shepherds are educated in scripture, theology and Church/bible history.
I once met a baptist preacher who told me there was no Book of Philemon in the New Testament, that I was making the name up!
Go figure. That's what you get when you don't educate ministers of God.

People who are called to preach dont know EVERYTHING there is to know about the Bible so they sit under the discipleship of people who are more learned. Its not just about reading words...its discerning God's meaning. As for the prosperity preachers, the bible says there will be many false teachers and prophets. God says He will let the wheat and the tares (the weeds) grow up together and then sift them out when He comes...so we have wolves amongst us and if you dont know the Word of God for yourself...you'll be deceived. Thats a dangerous side of being ignorant to the bible...believer or not.

1. not all have to go to school. those who choose schooling are those who "think" they were called to the missionary. they have to go get "taught" to what the bible means, says and all.
A TRUE person who is ordained by G_D does not need such schooling, a state license to claim they are tax exempt and so on down the line. As a TRUE minister isn't in it for the tax breaks or perks of the office.
But like the first part, who "thought" they were called, they are focused on money. The tax breaks, fact one doesn't have to pay taxes among many other items.
Don't judge all by the errors of a few.

The Bible says "Study to show yourself approved".
If you are amazed and impressed by miraculous spiritual gifts... YES ... God's annointing seem to empower believers in a way Bible college can't!
BUT, those spiritual gifts do NOT mean that you have wth wisdom to pastor, or the knowledge to teach theology. Humble your heart and seek more.
You are not doing those miracles...God is!!!
Give all Glory to God!!!
Amen.

1) So this way nutballs like the West borro dont pop up. Also since they get special treatment (like tax breaks and things) the government dosnt want everyone and there mother to say "i'm a preacher" and abuse the privelage.
Its to make sure that the preachers have a basic nderstanding of what there job is. Its like job training.

any congregation may appoint any one they choose to be a Pastor... if the leading and teaching of that pastor is adiquate and the "denomination" leadership confirms then he may apply to the state for a licence...then he may conduct marrages and such legaly.
the so-called prosperity theology is not "Christian"... but too many "pastors" today use it to keep the pews filled.... not right thinking or teaching.

I guess I must be the exception to the rule. (And I'm sure there are others.)
I'm a pastor.
No formal seminary schooling.
I don't teach about prosperity.
You must have us all confused with Televangelists:
Prosperity Gospel
Social Gospel
Name It & Claim It Gospel
Blab It & Grab It Gospel
Health & Wealth Gospel
...all heresies.

This is because the schools teach the pastors salesman like tactics such as how to get your victim hooked and then how to scare them into staying put in your religion.

Don't generalize dear. Most people would like to hear a preacher who knows what he is talking about.
