and they swear to the bible and to god that they are not lying...but you know the truth....because I heard it with my ears....he told me that these girls were not calling him on his cell phone..but he is lying....this is the past but he still lies about it.....but how can you lie and swear to god

Get this my friend: People lie because they are basically and naturally a liar. All of us do lie and even stand on it to the point that we believe our own lie. People lying and swears by it are congenital liars. Lying becomes a habit and bad habit is hard to break.. It doesn't matter if they tell the truth or not what matters most of all for them is to keep their sins secret which in the last day they will be revealed and certainly become accountable to the one who knows everything! We all lie but the most important of all is to tell the truth eventually and be honest with your self and others.

You may have a good deal of faith in god, when you really say '''I swear to god''...but there are a lot of pple out there who dont care, first, because they really do not believe or have faith, or second, because he may be caring for you so much that he does not want to hurt you. I hope your case is the second one, but I am like u. I hate it when I know the truth, and the other person too knows the truth and hates to admit it even when i know...what iam asking is the truth. Just wait, and then simply drop this relationship. Or give an ultimatum. thats all what i can figure now. But as for me, i would simply drop it, cos' i know there will be more ''lies'' and ''swear to god'' that will follow ....

He can't lie to God. God knows all. He lies exclusively to you.
Remember, the Spirit and flesh are two different things. We all **** up every now and then. Don't flash on him for acknowledging his Creator. He needs to read the Bible don't you think? He needs to give thanks for the food that has been provided for him, wouldn't you agree?
But...
I feel you though. If you're gonna lie, don't put God in it. He will learn soon enough.
He probably does it because you see him in the Bible and you see him bless his food, so to swear by God in his mind might make you think, "Well, he wouldn't do THAT if he was lying..." or would he?
So...
In that respect, it's good to know that your boyfriend is in the faith, unfortunately, he doesn't know enough to know better.

Some people don't take swearing to God seriously, they're just words to use to get ppl to believe them when they're lying. You knew the truth and it sounds like you let it go in order to keep him with you. If you're cool with that, then you have to actually let it go and not bring it up to him constantly or you will have one disasterous relationship. You could ask if these girls were harmless or if he was cheating and you should know what to do if he was fooling around. I'm going to guess he was since he lied about it. ;) Good luck.

Some people dont' hold the same standards as you do. Just as its easy for some to call in sick when they aren't or say I love you when they don't, some people can say "swear to God" or put it on the Bible with such ease. If you know that truth, then why bother? I know you want the satisfaction of hearing it from him, but if he's that determined to keep things from you and lie to your face, then you already know what kind of person he is. Period.

Not everyone believes in god. Swearing to god means nothing to some people. But that said, if you don't trust him, leave him and move on. He won't suddenly admit that he's been lying. You're better off to find someone who you trust and who you respect (and vice versa) because trust is cornerstone in a relationship! Good luck!

Any one who swears to the Bible is not of God and anything that is not of God is of the Devil. The Bible says the Devil is the author of deceit and lies. From this you will know where am coming from. The guy is simply deceitful.

it seems like alot of people now a day want to swear to god when they are lying. I guess that don't see nothing wrong using gods name in vein when they are lying. They just say so that you can believe.

It's easy to do if you don't truly believe in God or the teachings in the bible. It's also easy to do if you don't value honesty or integrity.
Sounds like this guy isn't worth your time. People like that don't change as much as they may say they have or as much as you want them to. If they are willing to lie once, they will do it again.
