I once read somewhere that the best approach to locate scholarships is to utilize more than one approach. I know several different methods, and I recommend applying for as many scholarships that you qualify for no matter the amount offered by the organization or company.

First, I recommend going to your high school guidance office. They have a list of local scholarships and some state grant programs for college students. There is typically less competition for these scholarships than a national one.

Second, the local public library has a book listing various college scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search engines. You complete a profile, and they will post scholarships (typically national in nature) that match your profile. There are scholarships for almost anything.

Good luck!

. "Profile"?
You mean you want to fill out a standard, generic form that you can use to apply to ALL scholarship applications? I don't think so.
