It depends. You will be billled for parts and labor which depend on what the city charges. Give the bill to your insurance company to take care of it.

I have replaced 4 to 5 fire hydrants so far in my 15 year plumbing career. The cost can vary drastically due to location alone. You must factor in repairs of the area disturbed to excavate safely to the water main branch that the hydrant is attached to, eg. Curb, asphalt, concrete. Then there is the cost of plumber and crew, materials, permitting, machinery. A complete replacement can cost 5 to 10 thousand USD. Just an estimate.

Dpending on the company the city is using for their contract. You are looking at somewhere in between $750 and $1500.

Dry hydrants (water has to be turned on to it) are cheaper, but some wet hydrants (constant pressure at the plug) can cost as much as a used car.

Hydrants drop down quite a bit before they hit the main line. If the main was damaged, you will be looking at quite a bit. The city will likely charge you labor, too... even if it is city workers reparing it. I hope you have insurance.
