Because their father the devil makes them into mindless robots.
A little harsh, but that's the deal.

I have said this before I will say it again.
Look at the top left hand side of the screen just below search for questions. You will see that it says Home>Society & Culture>Religion & Spirtituality.
R&S is a sub catogory of S&C. This means that what you believe impacts society and culture. I for one want to ensure that we keep belief of some GOD under control. I want enough doubt placed out there so we won't become more invested with witch hunters, and inqusitionist. I do not want my children being killed in a "HOLY" war. Believers cause more conflict than any of us heartless, souless, Atheist.

90% of the day? Wow, I doubt anyone spends that much time here.
Nonetheless, people of all religions (and none) have every right to discuss religions. As I once saw here "Do you have to BE a dog to post in the Dogs section?"
Keep in mind that some religins are actually Atheistic. As in they have no dieties. Or do you think this is the Christians only section?
Other than that, many non Christians like to know where Christians are coming from when they try to impose their religion as US law.

It's a room now?
Anyway. Talking paint-wise, white is the lack of color, yet you can still buy it as a paint.
Likewise, Atheism is the lack of religion, but even on the SATs, there's a checkbox for "Atheist".
They have as much a right to be here as the rest of us.
And quite a few of them make us think and question our faith, and it is good to question what you feel already to be true, for you may discover newer better truths that way.

Because some Atheist, "Not All" take a form of protest against the religious establishment. Also it nice to know there are other rational human beings out there. I mean you religious folk hang out in front of stores to pass out flyer's, knock on my door, are on T.V.... Etc...Etc... We can`t get away from you freaks. So I like to challenge your hell fire preaching doctrines.
Another name for Christians is
"Ordinary Wack Job"
Ordinary because the majority of people in this country are christian.
Wack Job because of the nonsense you believe in.
Just because it`s "Ordinary" that does not mean it is OK to be a "Wack Job."
People think that because Christianity is so called normal it`s ok.
IT`S NOT OK!!!!

Oh, oh, oh. It's because DEEP DOWN in my heart I KNOW gods exist but I have BLINDED myself to this reality for some unknown reason and have become PRIDEFUL...so now, apparently, I try to JUSTIFY my position so as to make myself feel like a real SMARTY PANTS! Nyah!
Is that the answer you're looking for?

Atheism is a belief system. It could be called a belief in a higher power. So they are here just as I am. To hear other ideas. They may be strong in their beliefs but they still want to see what others believe. They may even want to share their viewpoint. So, welcome Atheists.

Where would YOU suggest an atheist that wishes to discuss religion and spirituality go?
If Christians can evangelize to atheists, why exactly can't atheists evangelize to Christians?

Because I have a religion and am an athiest. Not all religions are theistic.
And because we have studied religion and have valid opinions about it. Or do you think only racecar drivers can ask and answer in the NASCAR section?

it's like those gigantic 13 year olds with facial hair who terrorize the kids in 6th grade to compensate for having been "held back" a grade. ( No offense to 6th graders, or people with legitimate R&S inquiries).
