My supervisor is taking us all out to lunch and then a play. From there we all head home for early day. She’s assumed we will all be driving ourselves and I definitely don’t. I live less than 2 minutes from my job LITERALLY. Well one of my coworkers “Jamie” is asking our supervisor for a company van. Everyone is annoyed because no one wants to ride the company. But out of kindness our supervisor takes a vote and wouldn’t you know it: only one person wants to take the company van, Jamie! So Jamie tells our supervisor not to worry about it she will ride with someone. Why?! She has a freakin car like the rest of us driving ourselves!! So of course she ask me because I live 2 minutes from the job so it will be easier for me to take her there and back. I thought it fell on a school night so I told her I couldn’t because of school and then she points out to me that it doesn’t fall on a school night. So I told her I would take her. I’m so mad and I still don’t want to take her!

I think I need to clarify that I live two minutes away from our job but they play we are attending is about 30minutes. This chick is also like the office weirdo. Dont get me wrong I've tried to make cool with her but she never fails to say or do something completely inappropriate or bizzare!

I guess you sort of have to now, since you said you would. In the future just tell her you have pressing plans afterward, and are going to have to leave early to make it to them, and leave like two minutes early. Or if you really can't stand her, tell her that now, that you forgot you have plans on the other side of town and have to leave early, so she'll have to find another ride, or even *gasp* drive herself.

You can always say that your boyfriend will pick you up because you have other plans for the night (hotel, walk on the beach, anything). Or just suck it up and take her, you may find out some interesting thing besides, it's 2 mins so overall 4 mins with the lady. Either way be nice, you never know when you'll need a helping hand.

Just tell her that you plan on walking. If that doesn't work, just say that X person needs your car for the day and you're walking. However, you've alrady said yes, so you have to now. Is it really that big of a deal if it's noly 2 minutes away?

I would just make up something and say you're going somewhere that's in the other direction and you have to be there at a certain time. If she has a car she shouldn't depend on someone else to take her.

Just tell her something has come up, (you don't have to tell her anything beyond that, your business is your business) and you won't be able to take her after all.
I can't understand anyone putting up with something for an hour or more that makes you uncomfortable, and possibly ruin your enjoyment of the event.

Tell her your plans have changed and you can't drive her that she will have to drive herself. If she asks why or how; say it is personal and I will not discuss it. Sorry.
Walk away. Not knowing you or her, I think you are being childish, but maybe she's a real shrew, only you know. Good luck.

Just tell her "something has come up" and won't be able to drive her a** home! you shouldn't be forced into taking her, you're not a cab service.
