How could they get into the celestial kingdom?

For that matter why do you think God requires secret handshakes (tokens) to get into His presence? DOn't you think He is more concerned with the heart? I mean, if someone is good and trusts in the Lord- do you really think they will be excluded because they don't know the "secret handshake?"

LMAO very true!

The reason the church requires them is because the Freemasons required them for their own order, NOT to get to heaven. This was something Joseph created by copying the Mason temple rituals and implementing them into the LDS faith. These "sacred" rituals were then later toned down because they offended the nice sensibilities of the LDS followers.

My father remembers rituals that had a temple-goer pledge an oath of self-mutilation if they told the secrets of the temple. This was removed. I myself went to the temple when they would put oil on your naked body (I was in a sheet they would reach through). This has since changed. Supposedly NOTHING is to be changed regarding the temple rites. Many ensigns and LDS scriptures can attest to this "fact", yet many Mormons have seen these changes in their own lifetimes.

My the bashers are out in spades today aren't they? Secret hand shakes? I don't think so! I've explored Mormonism out of curiosity , as I have others!
But I'll tell you what I find really amusing! That Christians are right there, to tell you how great they are, and how they are shining example of the love of 'God'! But from where I am sitting, you are nothing of the kind!
Trashing other religions does not make you look good at all! Do you really think this question is nice? Will it help you gain knowledge by being a smart-@ss? Will it help you on you journey through life? I would suggest that you start trying to be better representatives of what you preach!
Way to go Christians! Job well done!

Well, since we most likely won't be giving our signs and tokens until after we are resurrected, and the body made perfect, then those without hand/arms/legs/whatever, will be able to do what they need.
As with pretty much everything in this life, I believe many of those things in the temple are a test. "Where much is given, much is required." So in my mind, I think God gives us those signs and tokens as a test - which we are supposed to keep sacred - and if we DO keep them sacred, we will receive the reward for that.
It may sound harsh for me to say, but I believe those who mock these sacred things, even those who have obtained them and then disgraced them in the sight of God, will be held accountable for that.

Resurrection.

Yes, Jesus looketh on the heart. Give me your address and I'll send you a Book of Mormon and Bible. They will teach you all about the mercy of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection.

If God doesn't require any ordinances, then what about baptism? Why require dunking under water if all that matters is a person's "heart"?

Of course, we know that Christianity DOES require ordinances. The Bible teaches this. The Bible also teaches that in the resurrection, physical defects like missing hands will be made whole again. :-)

Mormonism like most religion has things you have to do to get to God. Jesus died on the cross for your sins. You don't have to do anything to get to him. He came to you and did it all. You cannot add anything to the finished work of Christ. Mormons have rituals because their religion isn't fulfilling so they have to add to it. Trust Jesus and be filled with the Holy Ghost and have eternal life.

WOW! What is with all the HATE?! Did a Mormon boy break your heart when you were a little girl? How about you live your life and stop picking at people and their beliefs? Just a thought. Maybe you could use all of that bottled up energy of your and maybe feed some homeless people.
