Without a co-signer? No.
Under the age of 18 any contract you would sign can't be upheld/enforced in a court of law. So a lender is not going to loan money if they have no recourse should you decide not to pay.

I say no, but when it comes to credit - who the hell knows!
What I can tel you is that IT IS NOT WISE TO DO THIS!!! Don't get caught up in this mess at such as young age. Trust me...you will regret it. I did and now it is taking sooo long to clear everything up.
At 16, you are not able to enter a legally binding contract such as a loan (Business Law 101)

>Beware of Advance fee Loan scams.
LOAN SCAM - Do Not Pay UpFront Fees.
Do not send money UpFront via Western Union or MoneyGram to any person or business in the UK, Nigeria or Canada in hopes of getting a loan. If you do you will learn a hard lesson & never see any Loan money.

Try the USDA loan program. I filed for bankruptcy and had no down payment for a house. They work with low income families. I have been in my house for over a year.
