It's more in "what you do", not "what you say". Actions speak louder than words. If you honestly are in love with him, then you will be there for him right now as a supportive, kind friend... not trying to intrude on his already troubled relationship. He will respect you much more. After it's over, you can become more obvious about your feelings and start to express them in your words as well....

I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem. It's not about saying, "I love you," a different way. It's about whether you will say it at all.

Ultimately you have to make a decision and try to stick to it. Do you 1) stay friends and leave any "love" feelings behind for the sake of a friendship you treasure, or 2) tell him you have feelings for him that are stronger than friendship, but that you think you should just stay friends, or 3) tell him you want more than friendship, and that you think it's worth the chance that it might wreck everything.

Remember, unrequited love can be harder to live with than a broken friendship. Honesty is important. Also, think about timing. Would a message of love perhaps be better given in a week, or a month?

I get the feeling that he is available but you two are still at the friend stage. Before jumping to "I love you" there needs to be more of a history. You need to let him know that you care about him as more than a Friend. That means becoming more physical, spending time with just the two of you. Do you hold hands? Do you hug hello and good bye? Does he put his arm around you? Do you put you arm around him? Do you almost sit on top of each other when you watch a movie? Do you kiss? These are all ways to let someone know that you care about them without saying "I love you". Now you may be doing these things as friends. That means that you need to think of a way to let him know it means more to you than just a friend thing. Stroking his arm, chest, or face are ways to say "I really like you". If he has been hurt before, take things slow. If you rush to "I love you" before you establish that you are more than just friends, you will freak him out.

So, start slowly to make your relationship more physical and make it clear that you like him as more than just a friend.

The honey makes itself attractive to the bee....the bee will visit w/ delight. But be forewarned: bees do tend to sting, if the honey isn't careful. The careful honey is the smart honey.

Don't be afraid of heart ache: it's a part of the human condition. The more we work at avoiding heart ache, the more we rob ourselves of living.

hmm... you can try a few things

1. you can ask him if he's ever felt anything for you?

2. you can tell him that you care alot about him... and just ask him not to get freaked out or anything.

3. when your around him show alittle bit of affection, more than a friend.

its best to take things slow, especially if its ur best friend.
