of homosexuality. Sure Jesus accepts everybody the way they are. Thank God for that because I was once a terrible drunk. I was the classic weekend night club, stripper club man for 12 years of my adult life. Thank God Jesus accepted me for who I was. If Jesus would have said "I can't accept you because drunkeness is a sin" I would be doomed for all eternity. Jesus, instead, said "I accept you as a drunk BUT I expect you to repent of that drunkeness and follow me" and praise God I have not drank a drop of alcohol in over 3 years and I have been following Jesus since then. Sure I am not perfect and I so sin but it is only out of my own ignorance and stubborn nature. I do not sin out of my own desires and remain uncovicted of that sin. I am ashamed of the bad things I do as a child of God and I realize I can never do enough. So I have two questions...First, as a Christian homosexual do you feel God is pleased with your lifestyle? Is there Biblical support for a homosexuality?

If my question offends you then I do appolygize. It is not my intentions. If my view against homosexuality is truely not Biblical and I am wrong then I would like to know this. I am open to know if the Bible states it is OK for a man or a woman to be a homosexual. If you can better educate me I would appreciate this. I know your personal opinions yes but I want to know what the Bible does or does not state on this. Educate me if you can.

I mentioned my drunkeness becuase Paul mentions this sin along with a few others (including homosexuality) as sins needing Repentance when accpeting Christ. 1 Corinthians 69-11. Jesus only states that marriage is between a man and a woman...to me that is pretty clear.

First of all, I don't know exactly what you mean about my life-style. If you are talking about the fact that I am gay, then let me say this: I have prayed to Jesus to understand this issue. More than you could possibly imagine. And what he has impressed on me is that his teachings are HIS teachings, and that quite often, classical religious beliefs are NOT what he taught.

Yes, I believe that there IS Biblical support of Homosexuality. Both of the OT stories of Ruth and Naomi and Jonathan and David have aspects that are, in my mind, more logically interpreted as same-sex relations (but I admit that this belief might be affected by the fact that I am gay). As is the story about the centurion and his slave, and a few other biblical stories.

The bible is customarily misinterpreted, and I do not suppose anti-homosexual individuals have any industry going round making an attempt to give an explanation for homosexuality. After all, what would they fairly recognize approximately anything like this? They don't seem to be certified to give an explanation for it! I can let you know firsthand that being homosexual is by means of nature, now not by means of option. Nature makes a few of us homosexual and a few heterosexual. If there's a god, I'm certain gays don't seem to be hated. There are many homosexuals who're christians, too. And sure, even homosexuals have the energy to procreate if we so prefer. Honey, I've been a lesbian all of my 37 years of lifestyles and I recognize extra approximately homosexuality than a few hater ever will.

Normally, I do not respond to a question that is addressed to a particular group of people that I do not belong in or to. But I share a simliar quest........

Many of the homosexuals make compelling pleas for acceptance, tolerance etc. In an attempt to broaden my own compassion for my fellow man, I have over the last few weeks made contact with some of them. Like you, I introduced myself as a repentant sinner. With some, I felt like open and honest discussion was possible.

I found each of them to be well versed in the scriptures when
referring to mercy, and personal faith. I also found a common thread in that none of them would respond to the issue of repentance........none. It did not vary according to how I spoke with them via this forum, another site, or even two personal contacts.

My conclusion is that "Christian gays" WILL NOT discuss repentance.

Here's how I look at it. God probably isn't too pleased with anybody's lifestyle. We're all sinners, and no one is perfect, even the clergy. But I was also taught that there's no degree of sin. Every sin is of the same magnitude in God's eyes, from a little curse word to murdering someone. So if homosexuality is a sin (personally...well, I won't say my personal beliefs on it, but I think individuals have a right to choose), IF it is a sin, then they are still Christian and as such will be forgiven by God. The only unforgivable sin is willful disbelief in God.

That was an excellent question, dear brother! Those who live a homosexual lifestyle while calling themselves Christian, have been deceived.

I too am a forgiven sinner. Once we belong to Christ, we are new creatures in Him. How can ANYONE continue with a sin they know offends Almighty God, and still call themselves a Christian? That baffles me as well! We know that God cannot look on sin and we have to have the covering of Christ's shed blood to make us worthy in God's sight. Does that mean that Christ died for nothing if a person continues in the same sinful actions?

God bless you!

My question to you is - I am not a drunk or homosexual and a friend of mind once said she had to pray every day to not sin. I thought about it and discovered that I had to work very hard to sin. You seemed to find it very easy to do so. So is religion for some one like you who is not capable of functioning in life without sinning and needs other people to tell him what is right or wrong. Why do i need religion since I already know what is right or wrong and do not wish to expend the energy necessary to sin.

Your question can be written, if it is fair:
"First, as a Christian do you feel God is pleased with your lifestyle? "

Ought to be applied to you. Because your lifestyle is what saves you? And if it is your lifestyle, then what of grace?

I think that the sin you are portraying, like so many of you who act as Pharisees and Teachers of the Law, is pride. You don't stink as much to God in your own minds. YOU have a 'clean' life, well pleasing to God. If that makes you comfortable then allow me to make it clear:
2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? ( Galatians 3)

So you worship your will, congratulations. Not only that you exalt yourselves as 'cleaner' Christians, whose sins are eliminated. Not only that, you've removed from your statements the message of the Gospel which Christ gave us to give in favor of a 'pet peeve' sin that you are told to preach against.

"Sure I am not perfect and I so sin but it is only out of my own ignorance and stubborn nature."

Are you then not as stinky? Ignorance is enough to steer people away from God! Have you not read Romans? And stubbornness was enough for God to have the Israelites march in the desert until their bones littered the desert!

So a Pharisee of modern days you have chosen to become! Religious, speaking of God, saying that you are his child, and yet listening to the voice of the devil! You have adorned yourself with righteousness, and whitewashed your own sins! Don't deny it, you stated it clearly! Ignorance and stubbornness are excusable through the cross, yet homosexuality is not? And what made you think that God isn't working with them the way He worked with you when you received the Holy Spirit?

Where is your faith? Are you set upon them because you don't believe that God's Spirit can do His job? All you are supposed to do is preach the Gospel, but that is NOT what you are doing!!!! God waters the seeds He is willing to make grow!

"Is there Biblical support for a homosexuality?"
NO! All sin is sin. But sin does not make us sinners, it means that we have a sin nature which causes us to sin. Jesus covered all sin for all time once on the cross. But when does your will become salvation after that? It doesn't!

Paul wrote:
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. (Romans 3)

So it is by faith that we started, and it is by faith we continue. Not because we can will ourselves to righteousness, but be cause we trust God to keep His promises:
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(John 3)

i have a friend whom i grew up with and i always thought he was girly for a guy. He of course turned out gay but from him i feel i he was born that way not just a fashion statment or a thing he wants to try. So does that mean god created gay men??? Im sure he isnt a big sin because he is gay. Getting drunk and going to stripp bars is totaly different because you choose to do stupid stuff. Being gay who couldnt help he was born that way

My personal opinion whether you want to hear it or not, is that any person, who judges another for something, first of all they cant help because THEY ARE BORN THAT WAY, and it has no affect on society, just because some book tells them to is bat sh*t crazy!!! You praise whoever you want or whatever you want and be as crazy as you want, but cant you leave the rest of the world out of it? I mean keep it to yourself, if someone wants to be a homosexual christian, let them how the hell does that affect what you believe?

Homosexuality is not a sin, so there is no reason for God to be displeased. It is never mentioned in the original texts, it was later that it was mistranslated.
