In order to prove this wrong, you need to think about the economic concept of "marginal utility." Let's use the example of food first, then switch to booze. Say you are really hungry and someone is selling cheeseburgers. If your stomach is growling, you would be willing to pay say $3.00 for that cheeseburger. After you have a little food in your stomach and feel better, you probably aren't willing to pay $3.00 for another burger, but if they lower the price to $2.00, you will buy one. Eventually you will get to the point where you are so full and uncomfortable that the burger stand owner could not pay you to eat another burger, That concept is called "diminishing marginal utility." Let's apply the concept to booze: That first drink goes down great and you start feeling good, but you will get diminishing returns from each consecutive drink because the marginal utility of each of your alcoholic beverages decreases. That is why after 10 drinks, someone feels like they couldn't put anything else in their stomach, instead of like superman. You feel better with each additional drink to a point, but each drink leaves you feeling better by a smaller and smaller amount until you can't drink another thing and you feel like garbage. Diminishing marginal utility: protecting your liver one drink at a time :)

Three drinks will make you feel swell, four drinks and you're grand, six and you're beautiful, seven and everyone's beautiful. You should reconsider that seventh drink...
