You probably do qualify for food stamps. You need to make an appointment with your local social assistance office. If you currently live near a military base you can make an appointment with any of the military-based agencies listed below to help you:
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society
Army Emergency Relief
Air Force Aid Society
It doesn't matter what your husband's branch of service is. The two non-Navy agencies have working agreements with Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

His being in the military has nothing to do with qualification for Food Stamps. You will need to get with the agency handling that and submit the required paperwork the same as if he was a civilian; they will tell you whether or not you qualify and will provide them if you do,

Yes! You'd be surprised at how many military families are on food stamps! If you need help don't be afraid to use Navy/Marine Corps Relief. They have many things that will benefit you. http://www.nmcrs.org/

The only way to know for sure is if you apply. My husband is in the Army and we have a program called Army Emergency Relief that can help with financial emergencies and things like that, they also do food assistance, you should see if the Marines have a program like that.

You can try. Go to your local DES office and find out. All you can do is try. They go by how much your husband makes, and how many people are in your household. I know some other military people who get food stamps. Good Luck!

Have your husband contact his 1st Sgt and Company Commander on this problem and they
should be able to steer you in the right direction.
Always try the US Military first, then go to civillian
authorities, such as the Social Security Administration!!!

When I got pregnant, one of the first pamphlets that the clinic on post gave me was for WIC. They know that lots of military households qualify for it. I believe that you are entitled to benefits. Best of luck to you

Yo Sweetness
There is the absolute best possible chance here that you CAN receive these benefits --- and, I'll add here -- you folks, of MOST people, better deserve them as far as I am concerned !!
