Sure I get violation notices for saying homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible but I am not going to change my mind about this because someone is upset over something I say in a freaking internet forum. It is not like I am calling you up on the phone or tracking you down just to condemn you because you are a homosexual.

This is just a general question...not a complaint.

I know. It's currently popular to be tolerant of everything except Christianity. There are so many atheists out there flaming honest questions and reporting honest answers just because the person is a Christian. They ask us for our opinion and hate us when we tell them! Unfortunately, that's life. So, far, I've avoided being reported, but I always choose my words very, very carefully. I always try to tell the truth without attacking the asker or ranting in any way. You know, the "love the sinner, hate the sin" thing. That, and I never answer someone asking inflammatory questions because I know they'll report anyone who answers in a likewise manner.

Remember what Jesus said about people hating us, persecuting us, and even handing us over to be killed because of Him. (Mt 24:9) They treat Him with that kind of disrespect, why do we expect to be treated differently?

Ok, this is how things work

You give what you get.

If I get a tolerant intellegent question, I respond tolerantly and intllegentlly.

Example

John asks "Why cant all the non belivers just conform to our will?"

I respond "Isn't that close to what the slavers told the african americans when they revolted? only a bit more forceful, and a lot less pathetic."

If Jenny asks "Why do people not belive in Christianity?'

I respond "Becuse we find that other religeons ring more true for ourselves."

Now. thats all ideal. Lest get to the practical. I rate your question of medium int. and tolerance.

A lot of "Athiests" will say stupid cra* like "Its all a bunch of lies", etc.

give what you get, if you find an answer is hurtful, or negative. (said out of malice, or unrelated) You have the option of reporting them. also Yahoo! invesgigates reports, if it finds someone is reporting people for no good reason it takes their reports less seriously in the future.

You know I wish people could just all respond nicely, and I generally try to always give positive answers, but sometimes it just doesnt work out.

I have only turned people in if their content is disgusting and gross. I do not turn people in for their decent questions or points of view. Yesterday someone posted a question about their children being witches and atheists. I answered by saying that I felt sorry for their children. I got a violation. Go figure. But yes - most of the comments to christians by non christians are very rude and negative and that makes me wonder if I should continue to be on this site as it is non productive and abusive at times.

Yep... quite frequently. But I always get them reversed.

However, for my own part, I have only submitted a violation one time... on someone spamming by posting the same question around 40 times in the space of five minutes.

And I reported one question to the FBI on-line tip web page... it contained what could be construed as terrorist threats... so I reported it as something of 'potential concern'.

As many times as I have received nasty messages, remarks, emails, answers from christians, I have never reported them.

Christians are not persecuted by any stretch of the imagination, Muslims and Homosexuals are on a daily basis all over the world.

Ive received many Violation notices for trivial things, all because Christians are quick to cry Persecution.

I try not to post "negative" answers! But if my answers offend you, then I can't be held responsible.

To be honest with you, most christian questions are pretty condescending, and intended to be that way. Hence the negativity that such questions receive in response.

Oh, please. How long have you been here?

Practically every atheist on this board has had his or her account deleted because certain "Christians" just can't handle any opinion that isn't directly in line with theirs.

Meanwhile these same "Christians" pull absolutely no punches in telling me, as a "homosexual," that I'm going to burn in hell for all eternity. You've done it yourself. I don't know whether you people get violation notices and have your accounts deleted for that - I see you're still here - but if you ask me, that's MUCH more hostile and offensive than me criticizing your religion intellectually.

By the way, I don't report people. I have better things to do...like answering other questions...lol.

Yes, but we can draw cartoons of their prophet to the end of time, as illustrated in recent times. These people are the most tolerant, loving, and accepting "religion" since the Third Reich.

I get Violation Notices just for showing up, sometimes.

Calm down - YOU'RE NOT A VICTIM.

Perhaps you should ask how many non-Christians have had questions and answers deleted not because they were offensive but because someone did not care for their religious preference.
