Well, all the church services i've been to were all only about an hour long. That's 1 hour a week, 52 weeks in a year..... so that's 52 hours a year.... The average person lives between 70 to 85 years old so that's between 3640 to 4420 hours in a lifetime. Not including those special holidays that require them to go to church for an extra day..... i.e. ash wednesday, christmas masses.... and things like that.

My church services last three hours. So if I do three hours once a week, over the course of a year, that's
3X52=156 hours/year
Consider that over a 77-year life span:
156 hours/year * 77 years = approximately 12,012 hours in church in a lifetime

This sounds like a lot, but considering that a 77-year life has this many hours:
24 hours/day * 365 days/year * 77 years = 674,520 hours

That means the time spent in church is:
12,012/674,520 = .0178 or 1.8% of a lifetime.

Not much of a sacrifice for the benefits, I'd say.

If the average life span is 70 years and the average church service is an hour and a half, a person would spend about 5500 hrs=685days=2yrs. To put that in perspective if the average person lives 70 years and watches an average of one hour of television a day, he would spend about 25500hrs=3200days=9yrs.

1-3 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, for an average of 14-16 years. After than, most people stop paying for their "faith" and stop wasting their time in church.
You do the math

there are 52 weeks per year. that's approximately 52 hours yearly (giver or take 30 min)

the average American now lives to be 78 years old, that's 78x52= 4056 hours divided by 24 = 169 days

add another 85 days if you go to sunday school, or want to calculate 1.5 hours instead of just 1 hour.

Assuming Average service including getting ready and driving is about 2 hours

76 * 54 * 2 = 8,208 hours

Services I attended years ago lasted 3 hours on Sunday, so that is 156 hours a year. if one lives 70 years, that is 10,920 hours wasted and much money spent for phony tickets to heaven that is boring and depressing.
