of Atheists , and agnostics on this board?
I think I have noticed more since I started to come on here.
What do you think?

The world population is about 5% atheist/agnostic.
And they must all be here at R&S - because I'd guess it's around 75% unbelievers.

I don't have any data on that--but at least for the agnostics, you'd think they'd be the ones most represented, since they are open to asking questions and actually considering the answers, whereas those on either side of the "decided" spectrum pretty much know what they believe and aren't going to change their minds.

I have noticed the same thing. But then again, I recently read that the atheist population in America has grown over 400% since the early 80's.

I think that there is an increase in atheists generally and it is being reflected here. There is so much upheaval in the world due to religion it has led people to look more closely at their beliefs. Also, with prominent atheists like Richard Dawkins et al being given publicity it gives people access to information that they didn't have before.

If people didn't see the Atheists why are you here question at least once on the open board a day you would probably not be drawn here.

Maybe. But it's not a matter of statistics, it's whether the statistics are accurate.
