Yes....you have to go to the Priest. The Priestly blessing is not done by lay-people.
God bless your journey.

I was told as a "newbie" that it properly should be either the priest or (if there is one) deacon, rather than one of the extraordinary ministers. The priest is usually pretty consistent about where he stands during Holy Communion, though, and if you're discreet about it you can slide over to that line if you're not seated there to begin with.
However, I have seen the Eucharistic blessing given by the EM's in other parishes. Ask your RCIA instructor, just to be certain.

Yes an extraordinary eucharistic minister (called thus not because the person is great, but he or she is someone other than the ordinary minister) can give a blessing.
We used to have a priest who would go to a random station in the church so you never knew which line the priest was going to be in.

You can just say the prayer for the spiritual communion, you don't have to get up, the Priest can bless you and the others will sign you with the cross, here's the prayer :
My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.

I don't like receiving communion from an extraordinary minister of the eucharist, it just doesn't feel right.
accordingly, I make sure to sit up front.

one of the eucharistic ministers would be happy, honored, and privileged to give you a blessing in the name of the Church.
