You should not be judging ANYTHING unless you are a hypocrite..

“Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matthew 7:1) and “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged, condemn not and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven” (Luke 6:37).

That's right, JUDGE me for asking this question. Go on, further prove my point! LoL, like dim-witted moths to the flame....

Judging and evaluating are too entirely different concepts.

Christians don't. The Bible does.

Your scriptures do not have anything to do with being a fruit inspector of your actions, but we are not to judge the thoughts of others. What we can see, we do not judge, but merely observe and know the person by his fruits. duhhhh We know what we see and there is no judging of what we can see.

This is what a Christian is taught. Matthew and Luke were under the Law of Moses. 1Co 5:12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

Chapter 6

1Co 6:1 When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers! 2 Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves? 3 Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life.

I am Christian, and I understand the concept of atheism. Atheism has always existed, and shall exist until the end of time. In the bible you are called unbelievers. As far as judging, read I Corinthinans 2:15: "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." Christ was speaking to the unsaved, not the saved. In reading the bible you must know who is being addressed, not just read the words.

The thing I judge about Atheism is that it is a belief that their is no God. So I'm not exactly sure what judgement you are referring to that offends you so much.

I do know that some Christians call Atheists "devil worshippers". I am not that kind of Christian. (I know Atheism isn't about worshipping the devil. Just a belief that God does not exist.) I try to judge people by the way they treat others, not by their professed beliefs.

I'm sorry if people have been jerks to you. There are jerks everywhere. The best you can do is try to ignore it and move on with your own life.

edit: By the way, you seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder. Are you alright?

evidently you have a very wrong understanding and concept exactly what judging is and what the context and meaning of these scriptures is!
Do you think I should not judge a murderer or child molester? I should just let them live and do as they please because it seems right to them? You have to judge or discern right and wrong actions, ideas and beliefs.
Everyone does it every day of their lives in order to make choices about their life.
You might read the whole Bible and make an informed judgement before pulling out a couple of scriptures and using them inappropriately to suit your own purposes

Why do Atheists judge the concept of God? See it works both ways. As a Christian, I don't judge you or anyone else. It's called disagreeing with your opinion that there is no God, just as you disagree with my belief in God.

Why do (some) Atheists belittle themselves by calling Christians disrespectful names?

Not mine to judge. But then again, atheist or theist, most intelligent people will realize that the trick in life is to keep themselves under the scrutiny of their own self-examination, and they won't find themselves in the embarrassing and compromising situation of being looked upon as a fool. By and large, most humans, either way, suck at self-examination.

I am suppose to judge what is right and what is wrong, for me.

What you do on your own time is your own business...well, it's between you and God.

The scripture you mentioned is more about passing judgment then judging what is right (by using our source the Holy Bible) and what is wrong.

I rarely judge. I just ask questions like they do. Then right away there the ones to judge.

I don't judge the concept, nor the people that embrace it. It is not my place to tell another person how to believe.
