I firmly agree with Ben Jeshua, however, I would like to add the fact that Jesus' apostle Luke was also a physician. God has given doctors the wisdom and knowledge of disease and the ability to cure. A person's faith plays the largest part in the process. Faith is having confidence that the Lord is in control of every situation even the physician.

I guess the doctor is inspired by God. It is really God controlling the doctor like a puppet. The doctor himself has no scientific understanding of medical practice.

Of course God is more powerful, than anyone. But since Jesus' time, no man has had the power of miracle healing. So we go to doctors.

God still works miracles; in fact, after prayer my sprained metatarsals were healed and instead of being crippled for months, I poured concrete for the next week.
Also, an elderly man we baptized was healed in the baptismal. I followed up his case for several weeks, then after six months. This man was hiking like a youth yet was a crippled old 85 year old.
Real faith is trusting God to guide your life regardless of the trials. Remember, all the disciples were murdered except John. He was fried alive in a cauldron of hot oil, but lived long enough to survive exile to Patmos, write Revelations, and minister in the church at Ephesus.
Of our fate, it says in Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." If you live your life right, even though you die, you will live again.
Don't forget to read the Bible code that gives the timing of the Cosmic Conflict at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm.
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Well my guess would be because faith as a cure, like most other applications for it is completely useless.
If one had true faith in god they would place themselves completely in his hands. 95% of christians have limited faith, the other 5% who really are crazy at least have true strength in their convictions and really do place their lives with god.
Which is fine by me as long as it does not result in their children not recieving medical treatment.

Yes indeed. But would you ask a pastor to look at your car when it is broken down, or a car mechanic?
