Thanks!

Honestly, lie a bit.

I know it says, "no family" but are they really going to investigate that.

I would use your cousin with a different last name or your aunt. Honestly, references are rarely checked up on. Plus, in all honesty, your previous job experiences account for a lot more then references.

No one is ever going to use a "bad" reference. They only use people who have good things to say. So, really references are not reliable. They are just there for the sake of being there.

If you have worked before you simply fill out the applications and for your last employer put your title as homemaker for how many ever years. List your duties, and the pay is uncountable. Employers are not supposed to discriminate because you have chosen to take care of your family. Honestly for a job with evenings and weekends you should be able to find something. I have been looking for a second job for a few months.
You did not mention what kind of employment you had in mind.

You're lucky that you're about to hit Christmas hiring. Could probably get something in retail. Even though it might not be an ideal job, or pay that well, you'll get the references you may need for something better after the season. Plus you could get in somehwere that might give you a discount where you can get xmas gifts for your kids (if you celebrate that)

Wal-Mart will be hiring for Christmas pretty soon. Check out your local paper...most of the time it is harder to fill positions with the hours you want.

You could try babysitting.

You could do parties. I did parties while I was in college and they worked great for me!! I made my own hours and made decent money.

Whatever you decide to do...have fun doing it!!

I had fun working with direct sales. Things like discovery toys, tupperware stuff like that. Make your own hours and meet lots of people. I especially liked the toys.

Just apply for many positions~ someone will give you a chance.

Also, try a daycare~ let them know that you had 6 years of experience with your own children...

I would try baby sitting! On craigslist they have a lot of babysitting position on there. You might want to try retail.
