According to HowStuffWorks: "Ignoring these perceptual differences, human hair seems to grow at a pretty consistent rate of about half a millimeter or so per day, or about half an inch every month (this study quotes a specific rate of 0.44 mm per day). It may grow faster or slower depending on your age, your genetics and your hormonal state (pregnancy seems to have an affect on hair), but half a millimeter per day is a good average.

What this means is that the maximum growth rate for hair is about 6 inches (15 cm) per year."

That's an approximate for most people, yes some can grow hair/nails quicker but there is nothing you can do to increase growth.

FYI Nails grow 1/8 inch per month and hair and nails grow quicker in summer than winter.

Some people's hair grows faster, but not THAT much faster. I imagine some people's hair probably grows slower too.

Not everyone. For some it does grow faster. For example, look at the people in Africa. Their hair doesn't grow fast at all. No offense because I am black.

I think the average person's hair grow's atleast 1/2 a month. Some lucky people's hair grow's even more than that which mean's they have a healthy head of hair.Mine unfortunantly grows slower since my hair has started thinning.

it grows faster for different people... for example my hair has been the same length (and it wont grow) for 5 years, and my friend that cut hair to to same length and same time as me, she has cut and grown out her hair about 4 times while im still waiting for my to grow 2 inches. so yeah it grows different for other people.

It varies from person to person. Some grow hair faster than others.
